    I like 1.8's new features, but at the same time I feel that it's moving farther from what Minecraft is supposed to be.
    With the new 3D models you don't even need to build in creative; just make a model for it.
    The only good things are he updates that enhance survival. No, not the armor stands. I mean underwater temples, that kind of stuff. That's the only really good content in 1.8. The rest is complicated crap for map makers, redstoners, or resource pack makers. Which is not what Minecraft is about.
