Mc-War 2.0 beta impressions!

I'm glad to say, that I, along with a selection of other people, managed to get onto
test.mc-war.com to get a quick look at 2.0's playable beta. The server was broadcasted on Teamspeak3, by the way, though I was contacted beforehand.

So, first off, I may begin with the fact that the server ran smooth and had no lag. It ran in smooth 75 ms for me, and it had no lag spikes or any issues.
Along with that, there was a LOAD of new game modes - Golden Gun, Cranked, Search and rescue, etc., that weren't in Orange's version of it. Along with that, these game modes had maps you could vote for - as staff said. My personal favorite game mode was Search and Destroy, where you and a few other players had to either eliminate the opposing team or defuse the bomb. The team I was in, was up against a few of our staff members, so we got destroyed at first, but once we figured out the strategy, we worked together. Another thing I noticed was the team-restricted chat channel, which basically allows for better communication between players.

The thing I myself expected to be in the update were the LMGs, and, there were 4 of them - RPK, M249 and one more I can't remember. While their textures looked basic, they were well-balanced guns and packed some recoil. What I noticed was that M249 could melt through players (literally), and we pointed this issue out.
Another neat thing was the ammunition - you now have a lot more ammunition than before.

While there are too many changes to cover, here a few things we should expect:

• More game modes (including unnannounced)
• LMGs (From FpsHG)
• You have 1.8 visual recoil, which knocks your screen up-down-left/right in custom patterns.
• There are new killstreaks, though the only one I noticed was the attack dogs - you get 2 dogs companions that follow you and attack enemies. They are kind of weak, though.
• More stuff, including music!

Overall, I can assure you McWar 2.0 is well-made and actually adds more new stuff than you think, though it's still in Beta. My personal favorites were LMGs - they 3-shotted people >:V
