So if you look though all the denied mod applications you can see that most of them are new member to the forums... Most of these are the first post some writes. My idea is that you cannot post a moderator application until you have over 200 posts. Like it would not let you post a application. After you get 200 posts it would give you a notification that you can apply for moderator if you wish to.

That's a good idea. A Poke Yoke so you can't apply built in to the website. I like it!

But then like 800 people with 200 posts would apply for moderator, and that wouldn't have solved anything.

This has been suggested numerous times, I doubt it'll be considered.
I do agree with you though!

This has been discussed before, so it would have already been done but some people disagreed. Most people just thought that it'd be easier to deny the mod applications than to implement a whole new feature to the forums.

This idea should be implemented except for the part that notifies you that you can apply. That could cause even more spam on the staff application than right now.

Most people thought it would be easier just to deny applications than to clean up all the spam posts over the forums to get 200 posts *

If I was an Owner to a server or an Admin, I would have allot more fun denying the app than deleting it.
