Possible Changes to Beta HG

    I have played a couple of games of HG and I have a few things I would like to see changed or improved on.

    1. More time in HG map to prepare
    When you spawn in the HG map you have 15 seconds to get ready. This isn't enough time to find a swamp or other biomes. I have ran in a random direction because I don't know where the swamp is many times. However, I usually find a swamp eventually after running for a couple hundred blocks luckily.[EDIT: I now know you can do /spawn]

    2. Enchanting
    Enchanting is now a lost art because of the new lapis enchanting update. Many people have expressed their concern for a change in this because enchanting plays a huge role in HG throughout the whole game. There is no point of putting enchant tables at feast or mini-feasts because they are useless if we don't have lapis.

    3. Bugs/Glitches
    I have heard/seen of many bugs that are currently in HG such as stomper. These should be fixed pretty soon so it doesn't ruin the games for players, but I am +sure you guys are already working on that!

    So far I have enjoyed HG, great job Brawl! :grinning:

    1. Sure, I can agree that 15 seconds is too short. But how long should it be instead?

    2. Yep, they should add lapis.

    3. We are working on any bugs and glitches at the moment. It will be fixed ASAP :wink:

    1. You can do /spawn as you're waiting for the game to start to find swamps. If you find one and want to go back to the arena, do /arena.
    2. I think it'd be cool to have lapis lazuli spawn around the map, now. Maybe it could spawn in caves and ravines, and in structures, if they're going to be re-added. Mini-feasts should have them, too.
    3. HG is in beta - they know about the bugs and knew there'd be bugs as they released it in beta. :stuck_out_tongue: Also, what's bugged with stomper?

    I don't know if it still glitched but with stomper you would take normal fall damage, therefore dying while trying to stomp.

    Now that I know you can do /spawn I see no problem with spawning in at 15 seconds.

    Stomper was fixed within the first day. Works now :smile:

    Thanks! Regarding the lapis, I don't think it should be in structures but caves maybe. However, I think adding it to mini-feasts would be ideal and make sense.

    I'd add it to places like the feast, minifeasts, caves, and maybe even above ground like emeralds in jungles.

    1. Honestly you are to close minded if you truly think that swamp biomes are the only soup producing ones , and i would like to state that the chances of running in to a Desert,Jungle,Swamp is quite high even if you are running in a random direction with no insight besides what you can see . All that considered i almost always run in to a soup biome within the first 2 minutes of invincibility . If you still think that this is an issue i would recommend trying out no soup .

    2. I agree , this needs to be fixed as it is quite limiting and makes the gameplay less in-depth and appealing


    3. Yes there are many bugs which require fixing , thats exactly the reason its called BETA ! , beta implies it is not yet the full released version simply testing so that when further expanded to the public will be nice and smooth going !

    Yep, so everyone else has answered your #1 point.

    As for the #2, I agree that Lapis should be included in a wider range of areas, and perhaps on the surface as Viva said a couple posts above me.

    For #3, there are always bugs and the point of beta is to fix them.

    #1: Have you ever own games with your strategy? Sure you get lucky and can find a good soup biome, but would you have enough soup to survive the whole game?

    I have played thousands of games on mcpvp and not had enough time to see if their was a soup biome in any direction and just winged it , its all about luck

    Like I said I now know you can do /spawn. I was dissing deserts or jungles but usually when people hear soup they think swamp.
