    While a lot of players, including myself, saw an fps drop in 1.8 (mine was 100 to 200 less), some players saw an fps increase in 1.8. I personally have not tried 1.9, but for those who have, how does it perform? It will be interesting to see the results.

    Well, some updates made 1.9 increase FPS, but at the same time, they added a shiz load of (useless) stuff. So I guess that balances the performance and makes it right about the same as usual.

    Ugghjdhdhfheuehchxhshxbcbxbchehdhcjndjsjakwowidid mojang can't code. 1.7 FTW! Also, my thread was moved to off topic and I spent 10 mins looking for it :frowning:. Oh well. It would be nice if the notification thingy told you where the thread was moved to.

    1.5.2 was the best version in my opinion. Hardly any bugs, great frame rates.

    Yeah I was playing a modpack for 1.5 the other day on my chromebook and it never went below 50 fps. Never tried it on my desktop though.

    I haven't seen a performance drop in the 1.9 snapshots, neither in 1.8.
