Idea Mario-Party Inspired Minigames

    (Names are just working titles)
    Gold Split Gold Rush
    Premise: Mine as much currency as possible.
    Basically, gold ore and gold blocks are falling from the sky. Once they land, they can be clicked to instantly break them. An ore grants you 2 points, while a block grants you 5.

    Fuming Mad
    Premise: Jump over walls of fumes.
    Players are trapped in a square arena and are equipped with a level of jump boost. Each wall has a large number displayed on it, which counts down per second. When it reaches zero, the wall emits a wave of fumes that moves across the arena towards the opposite wall. The wall will then reset its countdown to a random number between 6 and 15. Touching the fumes eliminates you. Players will have to jump over the fumes to survive.

    Sudden Death
    Premise: Combat in a dynamically changing arena.
    Players spawn on a square arena suspended above a form of death (e.g. lava). The platform is divided into 3x3 subsquares comprised of blue, green, yellow, and red wool. Every 1.5 seconds, the wool will transition as such:
    blue -> green -> yellow -> red -> air -> blue
    Players will attempt to eliminate others by knocking them into a hole or off the side of the arena.

    Gaussian Game Four Corners
    Premise: Players are eliminated based on population.
    Players are placed in an enclosed arena with four clearly marked corner regions. A countdown from 10 seconds appears in their hotbar in the form of an itemstack. Players will have to select a corner and rush to it before the countdown ends. Stragglers are eliminated, as are the people in the corner(s) with highest population. After elimination, players are returned to the center for another round. If less than four players are remaining, the game terminates.

    Paint Baller
    Premise: Earn points by taking the correct color.
    Players are placed in an arena comprised of multicolored wool. They will receive a dye color in their inventory upon the game starting. To earn points, they will have to right-click on wool blocks of that color, thus turning them white and earning them a point. Clicking invalid colors results in point deduction. After a time, the color is changed and the wool randomizes.

    Head in the Game Block Wars
    Premise: Put your head everywhere.
    Players spawn in a large arena with a stack of their own head that replenishes itself. In order to win, players must place their head on the floor and walls. The players with the most heads placed at the conclusion wins. Attempting to place your head on another player's results in their head being replaced with yours.

    Of course, nothing is set in stone. Feel free to critique the ideas!

    Can you clarify Sudden Death? It sounds like Wool Mix-Up or Red Alert with combat

    Essentially, you have a lot of 3x3 squares comprised of a wool color on the spectrum:
    blue - green - yellow - red
    Every 1.5 seconds (or whatever), all the squares will shift forwards once on the spectrum (e.g. blue turns green, green turns yellow). All red squares vanish in a puff of smoke, and all vanished squares revert to blue -- meaning holes will constantly (and predictably) be created and destroyed. This creates the dynamic arena aspect of the game.

    The combat aspect is supplied by a sumo-like battle, where players knock each other off the platform, or through a hole. The last man standing would win.

    Gold Rush (Gold Split) is done. Waiting on a map for it. Next will probably be Four Corners (Gaussian Game). Paint Baller seems cool, the map for it would be a little funky, though.

    Block Wars (Head in the Game) - Each player is assigned a block type, otherwise it's how you described it
