Is Brawl going to bring back a Quarter Quell ? The QQ was a new level for HG Players to play a competitive Tournament & the feeling at the Moment you played in the QQ was just amazing. It was great.
So does Brawl bring something like the QQ back ? 2015-01-31_18.46.00.png

They already said they are bringing back the QQ, but they have to fix a couple of bugs before they start one. There has already been a HG event though.

A main problem is having enough players to make it both competitive and long, though something like this has definitely been on our minds after hosting the Halloween tournament which was relatively successful. If we were to do it I don't think a qualification stage would be too successful.

I don't want every single noob to play in the QQ. The special thing about the QQ is that you're in a HG match with the (supposedly) best players in HG

Maybe the qualifications should just be something easy like winning a game and getting 25 kills total. That way, there would be enough players that would play, but there wouldn't be noobs there that can't even win a single HG game.

In the Halloween event there were around 80 players in the no-soup server, and this was a voluntary event. If there was a rigorous QQ qualification, i doubt that many people would go through. I personally think that it should be held (at the start at least) open to all, that way you get a feel of competition, purely based on the sheer amount of players.

If there was a legit QQ with a proper prize (something better than ranks and kits), I think many veterans such as Stolen, ElegantAshes will play.

If there is a Prize and some old HG Youtuber tell about it, then you are probably able to get enough Player, also old Player..

Problem with coming up with a proper prize is that we wouldn't likely spend $500 on a Quarter Quell. Though the thing with that is I think a lot of the reason a majority of the people played the Quarter Quell so intensely was the fact that there was $500 dollars on the line. If there was something as enticing as that to serve as a prize to both gain players for the event and make it more intense, I think it would be great.

There seems to be a general consensus that if you throw up $500 then all of the old veterans will come back. Why would they? How would they know? If, by some miracle, that the old players turn up again for the event then they turned up FOR the event and will likely leave afterwards. A $500 prize, whilst glamorous will not do much good as it may attract new players, but i feel that more frequent, lesser prizes is the way to go as it will attract newer players. In my opinion, we need to forget the old players unless they come back, and focus on gaining new players and creating a new, different community.

You don't seem to have any MCPVP roots if you can say that. Yes, you may be from MCPVP, but NO veteran will ever DARE to say forget the old players. Do you want a QQ, which is the most prestigious event in HG, filled with completely new players who don't know how to soup at all, or a QQ with very well known people in the MCPVP community, people such as Stolen, ElegantAshes, willbobbob, SirYellowSnow, ldkhamster?

Offcourse 500 Dollars is big, but no one is talking about so much. There also can be smaller Prizes, but probably Prizes, were the Player is able to decide what he want to do with it. Like GiftCards, How should i use a Rank on a Server if i don`t play Minecraft anymore because i have to go to work etc. ?
Also you need old Player, especially Youtuber, which advertise everything..
Otherwise there won`t come new Player aswell as old Player...
I think you have Acces to the MinecraftPvP Facebook Page (250k Likes ?!), if you plan a Event with high prizes, tell the Player about it..
Otherwise there won´t come new player..

If everything works and there are a lot of People then profits Brawl in getting new Players from Advertisment( If you do it the right way ) and probably some People spend money in ranks, kits, etc. because they want to quallify faster and sure.

How would they find out about this event? If they have stopped playing then they would just come back for one event, which doesn't help growth. Also, 'No veteran will ever dare to say forget the old players', what is the point of focusing on the past and the 'good old days' when we could be trying to make something new, with the potential to be even better than what we had. We wont know how things will turn out if we simply keep chanting the old household names over and over. Do I wish they were still playing? Sure! However, they are not, so lets see if we can get some new players in, who will learn over time. All of those legends will have had to start as new players, you cannot simply get these people from the start.

I agree that we should focus more on new players, mostly because we should go forward, not backward. However, I don't think we should just "give up" on the old players. If Brawl can't just give away $500 of free money, they should give away $150 of free money and $350 worth of coupons for the Brawl shop (or something like that). That way the total amount would equal $500, but Brawl wouldn't have to give so much money out to the winners. Also, it would encourage veterans to stay longer and make use of the Brawl money they earned.

I don't mean to say give up entirely, but not have it have the entire focus

I think there should be more Advertisment for Brawl at all.
Maybe more Youtuber who play on Brawl etc.
Then more player would join this community..

The problem is there are no big youtubers who play on Brawl, as far as I know.

Have you heard of friends? That's how they can find out. "What is the point on focusing on the past when we could be making something new" I would really like to see 120 players in each server, with a lot of servers. Is this possible? Not without any advertisement.
That's why I want the veterans back, mainly Stolen. bball is somewhat playing, he uploaded a video on Rumble so maybe a QQ will get him to make a video here.

I don't think there should be another QQ for a while. They're supposed to be epic, challenging events which are special. Right now, we don't have enough veterans to make a QQ any good. More tournaments would be great, but not a QQ.
