Would you consider yourself experienced with WorldEdit? Why? - Very, I've been using most of world edit's basic commands since 2013 in building whenever I do build. I understand all of the essentials but am learning more of the complicated uses of world edit.
Would you consider yourself experienced with VoxelSniper? Why? - I know it enough to use it in building to the extent that I need to. I use it for terraforming and making shapes for large builds. Though I don't know all of the vs uses, I know all that I need to know.

How active would you be on Brawl's Build Team? (A couple hours per week, one hour per day, etc.) - At least 12 hours a week. I am on mostly an hour a day in general minecraft and I get on build team servers every half hour or so. On weekends however, I am available for almost more than 12 hours both days.
Why do you want to join Brawl's Build Team? - I've been playing on brawl and mcpvp for a long time and I contribute to the other half of mcpvp and would like to contribute to the entire collection of mcpvp servers.

What would you consider your greatest strength with building? (Detailing, Terraforming, Houses, Trees, Statues, etc.) - Detailing is what I work my hardest on, terraforming is something I enjoy doing too.
What would you consider your greatest weakness with building? (Detailing, Terraforming, Houses, Trees, Statues, etc.) - Houses and vehicles are something I can't handle.

List any previous experience you have with building - I am currently in the munchymc build team.

Pictures: (Include as many pictures of your builds as you can. If you do not include pictures, your application will be automatically denied. When possible, include proof that the builds are your own.) The final 6 images were not entirely my builds, but those were my only available examples for my terraforming and they include a few of my additions to that map.

Sorry I had posted without a yes/no poll because I had forgotten to add that. I cannot add it after posting the thread sadly.

I'm not a huge fan of your detailing, on the grounds that it's not so much detail as it is making things look busy. There's no sense of composition, you just seem to use //replace a lot and put blocks down in random places. This is especially evident in The Woods and Noober, and picture 5 looks really amateurish.

Speaking of composition, that's definitely your weak point: the Pokemon map just looks like a bunch of separate builds placed in arbitrary positions around the map, with trees that are sometimes aligned, sometimes not. You have a similar problem with The Woods, though to a lesser extent. Frozin at least looks somewhat natural, but it suffers from the detailing issues I mentioned above (lots of //replace being used to make things look busy).

Your terraforming is a bit of a mixed bag: Noober (specifically picture 4) and the Pokemon map aren't great; it's just a load of //smoothed spheres with no attempt to make it blend into the ground. Frozin and the last 6 pictures, though, are good: I might be wrong but it looks to me that you've done it by hand and put effort into making it look nice, instead of //smoothing and hoping for the best.

Having said all this, your builds are very nice. The Pokemon centers are great, as are the huts in Noober. I'd like to see more of that sort of thing, because you've got the potential to make something really great. Your terraforming is also (despite what I've said) much better than the average builder.

Overall I'm going to give this application a -1, but here's a few recommendations for what you should do next.

    • Be more adventurous with the colours you use. There's a lot of greens, browns and grays - stuff that you'll see pretty much anywhere. Try to build a map based completely around unusual colours or blocks.
    • Work on your composition. At the moment your maps just look like randomly placed separate elements; you need to make them look more "together". Try to make a town on different levels of an extremely hilly terrain, where all the houses are connected to bridges, roads, cliffs or each other.
    • Learn to detail without placing blocks randomly. This is very easy to spot and it doesn't look very good, but you'll see it all the time on natural/organic-looking maps. Try to make a large, completely abstract tower/evil lair with as little symmetry as possible.
    Good luck!
