AMA Ask me anything I guess :)

Hello, my name is Lordch4os. I'm 19 and I'm a CTF regular. I'm pretty much following the trend but it would be interesting to see what questions people want to ask me Ask me anything!

 

I don't really care about if it's mainstream or not, but I think it would be fun to do, see what quetions people generally have for me

 

Mariokart DS, although I love the Rainbow Road on the Wii, and I like a lot of the courses on the gamecube version

 

I think that the green party are idealists. Usually they do bring some interesting ideas to the table, and a lot of the time some of them would be good for the future. The problem is, a lot of what they offer and bring to the table at the moment are for a perfect world. This is reality, and a lot of those ideas aren't really wise to instantly implement with other things to be taken into consideration. For example, a lot of ideas have been suggested, but not how they would potentially be funded. You can't fund everything ultimately, and there are other policies and situations which must take priority. In a perfect world we could implement them immediately, but right now we can't. Hopefully if the party were to become more grounded in realism, come up with sensible policies across the board, they could actually be quite a powerful force in the elections. As of right now, that's not really the case.

Obviously archer is my one true love, but I like quite a few other classes. You'll most commonly see me playing ninja and heavy if I'm not an archer, I find those to be quite a lot of fun.

You might not do the 2 things I'm gonna mention, but it's still a nice couple tips for any archer really.
I've noticed quite a lot of people recently adopting the "spray and pray" tactic, which basically means barely moving at all and firing as many arrows in the general direction of the target to hopefully kill them with one of the stray ones. It's a really inefficient method of playing the class, because with long ranged fights in particular you're firing so many arrows that two 1v1s and you're all out of arrows. That's a problem due to 2 reasons. A) archer's much more efficient and useful in taking down flag bearers and offense rather than other archers, and if you waste a load of arrows that's limiting how many you've got to achieve that. B) it's also wasting a whole lot of your time. It revolves around spraying as many as you can, which means inevitably losing out on accuracy. You would gain much more with a well timed and accurate arrow than spraying a whole bunch and hoping. I'm not saying spraying doesn't work, but ultimately it's not efficient. I personally dislike it because it takes most of the aiming out of the equation (spray it in the general direction, 1s bound to hit!)

The other thing I'd say is don't camp/ hide. Yes they get you kills and kdr, but they're really not very useful in a standard game. Quite a few reasons why:
If you're camping you're in a specific spot, where a bearer can literally just avoid and cap without you even have the opportunity to recover. Same goes with other players, they can just avoid you, meaning key players are often missed.
Hiding somewhat limits your sight, which means that even if you do know a players there, they can exploit the camping spot and avoid your attacks. Again, means you miss a lot of the objective play
The 2 things give you kills and kdr ie. stats. Nobody cares about stats at all really, irrespective of whether they're objectively gained or not!
If you're camping/ hiding constantly how are you supposed to learn to dodge another archer. You rely on the obstacles around you so that you don't die, which means you never learn the dodging patterns to survive in the open. It in turn makes you more reliant on camping. Basically, you're never going to be an amazing archer if you're constantly hiding because you can't learn how to dodge other arrows!

That's actually a really difficult question. I mean the top players could mean anything from skill, community influence, personality. I'll go with ability just because it's probably the most obvious.

But I mean there are quite a few people that really deserve to be counted. Some people are also better in 1 class than they are at everything else, so I mean this was all round but individually there could well be people that do better at specific things
