I think post reset updates will help the server a lot, keeping it new and exciting. I'm not fully sure why so many people quit either tbh. It all makes me so sad

 

There are different amounts of activity on different servers. Brawl is losing a lot of members, but if you cramp all the members on Brawl into 1 server, you'd have about 500-1000 people no madder what time of the day it is.

Yeah, get a decently sized Youtuber to record raid videos, this will influence more people to join.

I feel that the reason people left raid was because of Ultrapeach making a certain video, talking about how raid is boring, which then made a chain reaction to the more well known players to leave.

 

Hmm well why would everyone listen to just that opinion? Can they not give ideas on how to make the server fun then? What exactly are they complaining about

 

Raid needs something that encourages people to play, just PVP and building stuff is boring. Maybe weekly koths that require team effort to cap (something like HCF ones) or occasional events.

 

It's not that raid is boring (It is tbh and was a let down IMHO) but mostly because we're all busy with life atm. I hardly get on as I'm focusing on school and other stuff.

I was thinking about a set of videos that show my tools and armor, my bases, how I get XP, my brewing stash, my autobrewer, and my enchanting. Maybe 4-6 vids.

The sever performance issues need to be resolved. No one likes showing up and getting 4% game speed because an asshat put up a wall of lava.

Shop has issues where items disappear (for example, most pots). The map is too small, making tracking incredibly easy. The End isn't mineable. Stacking wrecked a lot of mechanics of the game, such as mob farming, XP farming and villager trades.

The map isn't 1.9 compatible, and (I know I'm gonna get flamed but here goes) the rest of the planet upgraded to 1.10. Sorry but when the world is two versions ahead of the map, no one outside the current player base will show up.

When I've been on in the last week, there rarely is more than 10 players, which means there's hardly anyone to PVP, track, team up with, or raid.

Finally, there is absolutely no game plan whatsoever to turn a profit on the server. I'm saying that it needs boosts so people can have a reason to spend on this game mode. The lack of income has lead to a death spiral where no income means issues aren't addressed, and when issues aren't addressed people leave, and when people leave there is no income. I'm not specifically a Java programmer but I doubt it's difficult to add a status effect to all players on a server for a set period of time after a boost is deployed.

The main reason I haven't really played raid is apart from less lag the server wasn't really improved and had way too many bugs when I did try it. And I still don't understand how people look at 1.7 as out-of-date, when if you played any pvp server you would see it as a pvp version of Minecraft. (don't comment saying 1.7 raid would have been near impossible for brawl to use- as creative is 1.7 and works with the rest of brawl).
Bad decisions were made by staff who don't play spvp and who didn't listen to the players...

And also why didnt staff listen to @Colonel_Graff And implement server boosters in the shop??? To be blunt about it who ever is managing raid needs to wake up.

 

The management of raid was just switched over to me now, and this thread here is helping to understand the community's feelings and opinions. I want to first hear what you guys want then create a list of ideas with everyones help so that we can start to see what can be done realistically to improve the server. We need specific examples though so this can be fixed soon. Trust me, I care about this server so much and its the last thing I want than for it to die.
