So far I've enjoyed BR a lot. Most of the problems I've noticed are due to players not knowing what to do as well as players leaving before the timer ends. Those have already been addressed in other threads though.

As for the actual game, I love how it runs. This is completely different from WarZ (And War?) where noobs actually stand a chance if you're not playing smart. I'm Top 15 Wins/Kills, but I know I can't just treat a new player like a free kill. Guns on BR are balanced, so some noob spraying with an AK can always kill you if you don't play it tactically. The differential between guns on BR isn't mostly damage, it's the style of gun. Use shotguns for super close range, use AK's for moderate range, and use AR's, for longer range. Not: Use T4 Weapons because they're the strongest. Pistols are just thrown in the mix to get something in case someone rushes you at the very very beginning. I love the gun differentiation though.

With a tiny bit of a tutorial, BR will be way more fun because everyone will know what they're doing. My game strategy is usually to rush for a gun and then rush for kills. I will usually get 3 kills within the first few minutes of a good game and I can always tell who is the new player. There is at least one who is wandering the streets aimlessly and has nothing but leather armor, a compass, and five bandages. Aka the default setup. Something needs to be done so new players know where to find loot. I've played Minecraft, and Brawl, for years and years, yet in my first game of BR I went to a chest and was very confused when I realized it wouldn't open and give me a gun. So my suggestion is that there is a pregame lobby that runs like normal except on a 2 minute timer. Same format but 120 seconds instead of 180. When the timer hits 0, players are teleported to their glass spawn box and a small text tutorial pops up for 60 seconds. This can explain that in one minute the game will begin and you will parachute into the city. From there you will enter buildings to find different guns, armor, equipment, and medicines. Briefly explain that the compass points at the nearest player, safezone, or airdrop whenever you right click it. Also explain the gas and maybe airdrops (ESPECIALLY ENDERDRAGON AIRRAIDS). These basic things will make the game much more enjoyable for new players. During this time players can join for another 30-45 seconds too, if possible in coding. I've been on other servers that do something much similar, and it works perfectly. Anything likewise will help gameplay a ton though.

Also, during down hours the map is way too big for 5 people. If possible, starting players closer together with gas already in would make it a lot better. As is, the gas just starts right away but takes ages to get to an actual closed in area where two players can fight. I'd rather not wait 5 minutes in a lobby just to play for 5 minutes before getting 1 kill.

Overall, I like BR a ton. Once a tutorial is put in place and people understand the game (and don't rage quit) it'll be way more fun. Nicely done coders and builders. You didn't botch this one entirely, just partially.

p.s. I'm still always down to take out combos and add in the reload sequence every time you switch guns. Thats just me tho. :V

I do agree. With a tutorial added in-game, anybody could start playing better. Starting players can already get the same guns everyone else has in this game, they just need to know how to use those, and every other thing that makes the game a good fight. +1

I think you have said this about warz too and I agree with the tutorials. For warz and battle royale (more warz) it is extremely hard for a new player to learn. We get a ton of new players each month but they end up leaving because it is just not fun for them. The other day someone killed a new player and he said in chat "Why? I just got to my first zone 6." That was likely his last time on the server because it isn't noob friendly... Other servers have tutorials, I think its time for brawl to have a tutorial.

I'm not sure about mornings, but 5-7 pm EST usually has a lot of people if you could remake one

I find it weird Wild West has a very thorough one, yet Battle Royale doesn't. It would definitely help the player retention with both servers.
