My levels are gone

    Hi there, players and serverteam (@Mario @Signatured @Lord_Roke @18kss @Eil @RockTomb @Doges )

    Well as all of you know, I was level 235.
    And all of a sudden, without a single notice, someone resetted my stats to level 120.

    So first of all I would like to know who did this without informing me. I already have talked several months ago about this with @chickenputty and he said it was fine as long as I wouldn't glitch ever again.

    It's no secret, my level was glitched af.
    But now, I'm level 120, which is ridiculous.

    Before I accidently gained a ****load of levels, I was level 150 legit. So I'd like to get that back, instead of a random level 120. This would still be a high level for someone with 128.000 kills, but I got it legit, by buying a lot of xp which I got from voting (as you know I vote a lot).

    To put in into perspective. I have voted every fking day (except for a handful of days to drop to tie with @Lekosa1 ) since August 25, 2015. Which is like 700 days of voting. So that's why I have got a lot of voting tokens left over now (like 30.000) and I also spend like thenthousands of tokens on xp.
    And @MR_EVIL_OVERLORD , who also has bought XP, got level 150+ legit aswell, with just over 126.000 kills.

    So I'm also asking, whoever changed my level, to either put my level on 150 which I got legit by playing and voting, or just wipe my stats at all if you don't like them.
    Or option 3: Give me level 'X' :wink:

    You are still level 235 in my book.

    I believe you should manually reinstated to the original level.

    Kind of strange that they resetted it even though you worked something out with Putty a long time ago.. And they should atleast give you level 150 if they decide to reset.

    There is no reason for them to lower your level so much, especially due to the fact that chickenputty even cleared it.

    Im no longer SMOD but I believe you should still be level 235, or your legit level. I know for a fact I would of never removed your level if I was still manager, but Im no longer here anymore, so I don't know whats up.

    Well I found the old conversation with chickenputty he didn't exactly said is was all OK but he knew about it and said he would be watching me from that point on.

    Something was done about this so late simply because it has not been brought up properly before in staff chat. A lot of staff members disagreed with Putty's decision to keep your levels, so the decision was changed. Personally I wanted your whole stats to be wiped (level 0, no kills, but still the same amount of deaths so you couldn't get a huge KDR).

    Perhaps, if you did not want to lose levels, you should not have glitched them. It's basic common sense that if you abused this glitch, you would get a stat wipe. Be grateful you did not get a complete one.

    If I remember this correctly, first he glitched a couple of levels (maybe using another glitch, I don't know) and then the rest. Either way, noone have accidentally done the glitch so he must of tried to find some kind of glitch, and what you can be done if you don't mean to glitch and still do it is PM eg roke about it and get your level put back to whatever it was before the glitch.

    I'm not going to say whether his stats should be reinstated or not, but I am going have to ask two things.

    1) is it right of anyone to go against the owner behind his back after he had made a verdict on something?

    2) is it right for a player to just now be punished for something he did (I presume) years ago? That'd be like having a child in first grade cheat on a test and then in 4th grade he's suddenly dropped back to first grade because he did cheat.

    Just because I found a glitch that boosted me up over 70 levels doesn't mean I need to be punished.
    That's like discovering the earth is turning around the sun and then be sentenced to prison.

    Nobody from serverteam ever discussed it with me whether I could go back to normal level, so then I assumed it wasn't a problem for them. And now half a year later I get this without any indication of any problem.

    The issue here is not that you discovered a bug, the issue is that you abused it get levels. Unless there is yet another bug we aren't aware of (which you never told us about then), the only way you could have gotten this many levels is by abusing it a lot.
    You also never got approval of this by chickenputty. He never made a final judgement and said he would be watching you. Even worse, in the conversation with him you kept claiming you got your levels legitimately, so you never actually talked to a staff member about the bug.

    The issue was brought up in the staff chat, it is obvious you could not have gotten the levels legitimately and to our knowledge you would have to knowingly abuse the bug to get this many levels. Thus it was decided to lower your level - and I intentionally made a low guess, as a punishment for abusing the bug. We did not reset your stats because on the one hand, having additional levels provides no actual advantage in-game, and on the other hand, not having done anything about the bug and the abuse of it is our fault, not yours.


    It is not, but that is unrelated to the situation because it wasn't done behind Putty's back nor has Putty ever made a verdict.

    He did it months ago, not years. He also doesn't actually lose anything in-game, it is nothing but a lower number.
