    I have a couple of ideas to improve CTF.

    1) The only way to tell which person on the opposing team has your flag is to see the item above their heads. The problem with this is the item is out of item-render-distance after 15 or so blocks. My idea is that the person who has the flag also gets a bright yellow chest plate. Their leggings, boots, and hat would still be their team color, so that way snipers can tell whether it is their team or the other team that has the flag.

    2) When you hit TAB (or player list) in CTF it shows, along with which team is in the lead with captures, who - if anyone - has the flag, or whether it is at the flag home. That way you can tell easily if you flag is in danger, and if the flag is there for you to run and pick up.

    3) When you have the flag it adds the item in your inventory. That way you can tell when/if you have they flag. Also, you can use your drop key to drop it to another player (while you are still alive). After it is dropped, you can pick it back up, another player can pick it up, or if it isnt picked up for ~15 seconds it returns to the flag home. Also if the other team picks it up and your team mate doesn't, it is returned to the flag home.

    ~~~More ideas to come~~~
    Idea: a big firework exploding every 5 seconds above the player who has the flag
    The problem with 3 is that people will juggle. You get a group of 5 people escorting the flag back. As soon as the carrier dies, any one of the others can grab it and continue the dash back to base. Also, 15 seconds seems like a long time. 3 At most. That way you will actually have to know the flag is dropped, not accidentally stumble across in in the middle of the map.
    True true
    I am saying they have to drop it while they are alive. 3 secs would work if a team mate or enemy could pick it up in that amount of time
    Exactly. It would make retrieving the flag much more difficult. The gold chest plate isn't a bad idea. You are correct about the rendering distance, it does make it harder to determine who has the flag. I like some of these ideas, but you just need to iron out some flaws.
