Idea Another SMOD for Raid

I don't think party needs an smod. It's already doing great as it is. However, yes, I do believe that WarZ could use an smod. The second smod that is high priority is war. With clan wars being a thing and DarkTitan resigning, and smod to take over would be very useful

 

I disagree with the smod system. If people prove themselves worthy of the rank, why not give it to them? I don't think everyone should get it though, but 2-3 on a server would be good. Prioritizing other servers is legit useless as mentioned before, if there isn't someone who deserves it, too bad for them - move on and keep promoting other valid candidates. Once a warz mod is valid, promote them. No need to stop everything until then lmao

 

Thank you for the kind words. On the topic of Miskey being able to do events, he is capable of doing so, however (with all respect towards Miskey who is a great SMod) I would prefer someone a part of the Raid staff team doing these events. The issue being that we know the technical side of Raid and the affects it could have whereas others may not know it as well, for example: what the community likes/dislikes, what could affect the economy/server in a bad way, what kind of events are possible of doing, etc. This is just my opinion though, and of course no offense towards Miskey or anyone else.

 

I'm not seeing what's preventing higher ups from looking at all servers for valid candidates at the same time.

 

I meant that if only one more SMOD could be promoted, it would be more logical to have a new one dedicated to a server without an SMOD, such as War or WarZ. I'm fine for having another SMOD on this server as long as another server gets one as well because at the moment War/WarZ are in more need of one than Raid.

They can work together. And I highly doubt that they will be butting heads saying "I'm in charge, no I'M in charge". I think the easiest way to do it would be to just give them smod on their home server. This would be great for melvin on raid because he can reroll bases, do mini events, etc when Eil isn't on - just creative won't really do all that much here imo. Imo he can be trusted with the perms, so what's the issue? He works very well with Eil and is a positive figure in the community. It's a win win situation imo

 

It would be good to promote Eil to admin, but I realize that will most likely not happen, especially since we've asked for it. However, I don't think having smods for specific servers is a good idea anyway. It separates the community and creates more tension among the staff team when someone reaches onto their "turf".

 

I doubt anyone on the Raid Staff team would do that now. We’ve all worked together extremely well and at the end of the day even if there were two SMods, Eil would still be considered in charge imo. Just because it’s happened before doesn’t mean it’ll happen again, and I have full faith in the team.

 

Lmao wp. Melvin said it pretty well though. If they work well as a team already on their home server, I don't see there being any issues. The conflicts are more likely imo with the admins / devs and smods on other servers if at all.
