So after a few hours of checking prices, dying and mining in prison, being arrested, and punching Pyro, I was able to come up with this rework on drug prices.

So the biggest part of Wild West in the eyes of the average player is PvP combat. Unfortunately it comes a the cost of painful afking. Something that has been sorta fixed, sorta not. I thought increasing all of the drugs as a whole was an idea but after doing a lot of math and making some assumptions, I was pretty wrong. Poppy is pretty much the peak of what processing should ever be and I'll get to that later too. Afk processing is what most, if not all, WW players do for money. You would think that we would be rewarded for being on the server for long periods of time playing, right? Well, the way the economy has been made out to be you could be sitting anywhere between 1-2.4 hours doing NOTHING? Now to be fair, not every method should be they best method. By bringing up the prices it changes it to a 1-1.6 hours. It brings in more money and keeps the maximum an hour the same!

So what exactly does the average set of Combat gear even cost? Well, to be precise, 28,862. That right there is an hour of a non ranked players time at the BEST money making method on the server. As many of you know, I've always been against the idea of the Best money making method being the only money making method. Wild West in its current state, the lowest money making method people would even consider would be Tobacco which is 2.6 Hours of afking, and this doesn't take into account the time of harvesting and traveling either! So by bringing up the price, you will be making more an hour and nothing really even needs to change but that one simple number.

Now one more thing before we actually get into numbers and the terrible math. A big part of PvP in a whole is Risk and reward. What is the best outcome for it? Risk > Reward, Risk < Reward, Risk >= Reward? To put it blunt, it is only in the eyes of worth of the person risking. Is it worth risking your only set of armour against someone who has 20? They don't value it the same as you so putting an exact price on it isn't as simple as an equation. The best I could come up with, as sleep deprived as I am, was a % of what you got out of the risk.

Now to numbers to help explain that. You have you average set of armour and are presented with these senerios.

    Arrested
Bounty 11760 (Calculated by illegals in inventory and 9 stacks of drugs)
    Loss in gear 28862
    Total loss 40622
    Pure loss
That is money and TIME down the drain. If you can't bail yourself out of the slammer, you are looking at 7minutes and 40second for every 10,000 bounty

    Fighting sheriff
    Bounty 5000
    Loss in gear 28862
    Total loss 33862
Gain in gear 5000 (14% of risk)
Now wait. You only get 14% of what you risked?

Fighting bandit (If gone rogue/If not ignore Bounty)
    Bounty 250
    Loss in gear 28862
    Total loss 29112/28862
Gain in gear 20150 (69%/70% of risk)
Now these are numbers we like to see, and this doesn't take into account of potions or extra ammo you pick up. Good numbers.

Let's now jump on these prices.
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vOuAKMZgADLN4YG5cWi7n0oikceEbYuAoCWYFk5nkpk/edit#gid=0

As some of you may take note, I didn't increase Coco and Poppys prices. Now you might be asking, Mafia I thought you were working on a good way to help the server? Well, If you take a closer look at the older prices and the newer ones, I actually did something that brawl itself almost did itself. Put the Drugs into a tier base.

Let's pop it out here. The old prices seem to go up, but between shrooms to coco and from Wildgrass to poppy, there is just a big jump. They basically had it backwards.

    Old Prices

    Tier (I)
    Tobacco
    Shrooms
    Tier(II)
    Coco
    Wildgrass
    Tier(III)
    Poppy

The issue with that is the team that takes poppy has no competition. True, a team can't be online all the time, but if it takes hours to make good money and people have millions, they must be on enough to stop the players below them from progressing, right?

    New Prices

    Tier(I)
    Tobacco
    Tier(II)
    Shrooms
    Coco
    Tier(III)
    Wildgrass
    Poppy

Now the highest tier team can't control the board, making room for another team. On top of that Tier(I) is right behind Tier(II) so they don't get left behind and are able to keep up with the fast moving past of WW.

I probably got more to say but I'm tired so, you guys feel free to ask questions and put your inputs where you like.

We don't have enough devs, but wild West will eventually get it's update, and It'll fix sheriff vs bandit and risk and reward like you talked about TheMafias. The thing is, sure the risk is totally unreasonable to fight a sheriff when you have full gear, but when you think about it, the other times of the game you get to afk process with no sheriffs on, or you can fight a 10v1 against the single sheriff that is on. There are issues, I don't know how to fix them to a good extent quite yet...

If you’ve been paying attention, you would know we just gained 2 admins and still need a WildWest manager, so there is a large likelihood we will be getting one. We as community members are laying the groundwork by posting these ideas for the new manager to be able to immediately begin presenting what he/she finds reasonable to the staff team. So, politely shut up with your useless remarks.

About the OP; The processing time should certainly be reduced, because it takes an eternity for a whitename to process a full stack of poppy. Not reduced to pre-reset speeds given the new price, but at least to the point that it takes 45 minutes to process as a whitename. You lose less gear being vulnerable to big teams, you make money faster, less AFK processing, more income for more fights, more happy players in the community.

I always like the prospect of making money easier, as it helps players buy gear for fights and results in an increase of fights.

The only problem I have is that players that need money won't really benefit from this that much. Tobacco's and Shroom's selling totals per hour are only about a 6000 increase, which is plenty, but most people don't process for more than an hour or two anymore. As well the people who need money are usually less experienced in pvp, so if they spend that money on gear they are more inclined to lose it soon or later. Anyone with enough skill to process at wg or poppy will have enough money already.

Increasing the selling price of wildgrass from 30 to 35 is a huge +1 though

Since this is economy and drug stuff I won't talk about armor and other stuff much, +1 for everything I like it.

The good thing about this is it would require little dev time, tbh I know i could edit the current to it myself, so im confident mario could do it in his sleep

He might have to considering how lazy he is

Say you’re an older player returning and you have a solid 200k, and you die three times, failing to recover any gear. There’s half of your money gone just trying to get back into the gist of things.

Thats true, but that is considering they don't have any armor or illegals.

I have not seen people processing for a while, raising the drug prices won't make people instantly have money.

I think it would be best to have the tier 3's raised to poppys value or similar, with lower times possibly. tier 2 could also go up in value. This could bring more money into the economy as you've said, which makes more fights.
Big boy +1, this seems like a great idea.

    This struck my eye.
Its very true, It's a very flawed system. Especially with the fact that a sheriff should equal 1-2 bandits full gear (excluding kevlar). Considering only one player gets to keep the sheriff head (when there could be more than 1 bandit fighting), and with that he/she could die before storing, you would think it costs more. Aside from that, seeing as there are less active sheriffs aside from the recently promoted ones, there are less fights. Which means sheriff 'hunting' is less profitable then it used to be. So, an update wouldn't hurt.

A reset should have some updates behind it. If that does ever happen, i'd like seeing this come with it.

    People with money dont process.
Reseting with an update wouldnt be helpful as testing the update would be better before resetting, making it official.
Sheriff heads need to be worth more. Ill come up with some number when i get home

The math is interesting, but what you just did here was re-iterate a bunch of well-known facts. It's obvious the economy is in shambles, the evidence for that can be seen here, and that it makes no logistic sense to fight a sheriff, yet people do it anyways. With the screwed up economy, monetization for the gamemode gets cut by over half its original potential. In my opinion, there are only two things the server can do to effectively bring back donations and the playerbase. While this thread was created to address one of the problems, there are so many more that need to be confronted before the game can run smoothly again.

One of two options the server has is to have a complete reset. It's risky, but with an good economy rework, there is a decent chance for positive results. However, although somewhat unlikely, there's a possibility that a reset may kill off the entire playerbase.

The second is for a complete rework. Take away the hardcore-ness of Wild West, and people will have more reason to stay. Furthermore, this option has more potential for donations. I'll list a few examples:
    • Trainable Horse: The default horse should respawn and gain speed at increments at 0.05 after traveling a certain amount of blocks(being capped at 0.5, the speed of a speedy)
    • Economy: Substantially lower prices for gear/guns.
    • Processing: Place the drug processor NPC in the center of the base and increase the radius of processing to 50 blocks. That way, there will be less forced encounters with other people trying to make money.
    • Monetization: Reduce the prices for premium horses in the Brawl shop. Make items in-game buyable.
    • Cosmetics: Add buyable cosmetics(i.e. ability to change horse color, name, etc. package and the ability to change your horse to wither, etc.)
    • Location: Putting fields closer to their respective bases.
    • Teleport: Giving non-donators the ability to send /tpa requests with a 45 minute-1 hour cooldown.
    • Kits: Self explanatory. Gives people incentive to log-in daily.
    • Quests: Gives people simply objectives for large amounts of money(i.e. visit decker mine for 2500G)
All-in-all, make money worthless. Newer players will actually be able to obtain items, thus sparking competition. Recurring players will see no use for the additional money, so it serves them virtually no benefit.

It's not going to be easy to fix the gamemode, but it's not impossible either.
