Barret 50 cals...

Its a .50 Caliber bullet hitting you. thats bigger than your thumb. Its traveling at 2,900 fps (feet per second) Thats gonna do some damage.

 

The Barret 50 cal is fine just have a team of like 3 people and always watch out for people. Or if your alone just log and wait till like the next day.

 

I think the barret's damage should remain exactly how it is. I think the point of DayZ is that you should always be on edge and be aware you could be shot at any time. And It isn't like you get a barret in 5 minutes? It takes a long time to find one, it's a reward for surviving. It should stay how it is in my opinion.

 

Same its WELL worth the find I've been playing for a week and only have 3 that I killed people for

 

50cal is just fine its just the closer the range you are the more dmg it is.

 

It's a .50 Cal. Deal with it.
Imagine someone has a Barrett, and 3 people are hiding behind a wall. The person shoots the wall. Those 3 people would die. (This is irl.)

 

Stop complaining. It's staying the same.

 

On 9 I regained my 29 barrets in my echest. So ;D They aren't a reward.. having a barret and ak is more like... a starter kit for me

You think the Barret is OP? I was once shot in the head by someone with the T2 sniper and died. I saw the stone axe. (I don't use the texture pack )

 

What armour did you have?

 

Full iron.

 

Dude AWP Is OP. I one shot people with it all the time. ;D

 

I have to say a few things...
1. Keep moving, always know where your target is.
2. Dodge, zig zag- Nope, now swerve- Na, Unpredictable movements.
3. If you can't beat em, join em.
4. Don't like 3? Get a barret and get some aim. Having played as a bow man on normal minecraft, my aim is extremely well with a Accurate sniper such as the barret.
The .50 cal is only found in tier 6 zones (Nether and half of the snow temple) Therefore it is a very OP weapon and doesn't necessarily need to be nerfed. I do agree, however, there are times where it does seem ridiculous. But other than that, It's all up to the server staff and the decisions they make. Hope this helped

Headshots seem to do a Great amount of damage with the AWP It is my favorite sniper Most of the time, until I see diamond or Mt. Dew...

I always tend to write my signature at the end, cuz ;P

I don't know, although it is for fact you can 1 shot a 1/2 diamond kid. Me and my friend tested it and our results were 1/5 chance for a 1 shot with 1/4th diamond, 1/10 for 1/2 diamond.
