What is Future Diary/Mirai Nikki?
Future Diary is anime, which is set in modern age, around nowadays. Story follows Yuki, basically, a 14-year old teenager, who is one of the participants in a Battle-Royale event in which 12 players take place. Event lasts 90 days, and the goal- last man standing wins. Their battleground is Sakurami City, their weapons- items, books or mobile phones that predict future. They show what will happen, and each participant has one of those, however, future diaries have both an advantage and a disadvantage. Participants have to make decisions, and they will change the future quite often. And the prize is important - winner becomes a GOD. And nobody else besides participants know about the thing that is going on....


So, what makes it special?
It's the story. Most of the animes are rushed, short and boring. As for this, it is intense, fun, and it really keep the plot and story going. Every episode is almost like a short movie, and plot twists - They're so well made, that it will be challenging to stop watching these series.


How the episodes are looking like?
This anime looks pretty good, it has everything from gunfire, blood and explosions till beautiful environments and amazing imagination-like structures. From my perspective, some of these effects look really amazing and they are quite awesome.


What is the most entertaining part?
For me, those were unique battles, each one was different, it had different outcome. They may lead to victory, but most were insane and it seemed nearly impossible for main characters to win so many of those.


Are there any plot twists?
Yes, there is a chunk of them. Almost in every episode there are events, that will change the outcome, few of those plot twists can make you amazed or interested. I really liked this especially because of that.


So, why'd you recommend for others to watch it?
Because of the fact, that it is better than most of action movies in my opinion, it is really unique and unpredictable. And morale that I found, was simple: "You have to accept people how they are."
Once you finish watching it (it took 4 days to blaze through for me), you will be shocked, or even amused. Why? Watch the entire series, and then try ask the thing again. Future Diary, or Mirai Nikki, as some may refer, is action/adventure packed romance story in few ways, it is intense, amazing and sometimes sad, once it comes down to character deaths. Few give out promises, expectations, or die in horrible ways.


So, how it can be interesting for me, as a non-anime fan to watch?
Under these circumstances, try to get in a solid mood, find a good quality link, and make sure it is like around-night time. Don't forget to put headphones or earphones on, it is quite loud. Also, be patient and don't spoil anything for yourself, it will come down to an ending anyway.


So, how would you rate it?
Although it is more of a story about relationship, there are 2 universes, and things are intense, they made it up for me,
8.5 is my rating, it could have been a bit longer and they could have done last universe a bit better. I'd highly suggest watching it, as it is really good.

Extra info (read before watching):
Firstly, take care of the time. I'd suggest late evening/night time, it has got few bizarre scenes, that can get ridiculous, and also, grab a headset or headphones, it is required. I watched the series from my phone, it is a bit more comfortable and higher resolution, but tablets/iPads can work out, too.
