    I found this weird and pointless bug today, the only thing you can do with it is put it in your enderchest though..

    No sugarcane and cactus are completely different. Cactus is breaking in this scenario because it can't have a block placed next to it and he is placing webs or barbed wife next to it. Sugarcane can have blocks placed next to them without breaking.

    Yes, only blocks with the same 'logic' as a cactus are the blocks that can be glitched.
