It gets automatically shut down by the provider for up to 24+ hours if the DDoS continues.

Exactly! In Norway they would care for everyone and not threat the rich people better.

It doesn't matter how much security you have, as long as the attacker has your ip back when you didn't have security. What you need is to purchase a new router and set up a proxy.

    second paragraph
    (recommend reading all)
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack
    and
Malicious hackers can commandeer thousands of computers around the world, and order them to deluge a website with traffic - effectively clogging it up, preventing others from reaching the site, and bringing the website to its knees.

i can discribe a DDoS attack are the equivalent of 15 fat men trying to get through a revolving door at the same time - nothing can move.
For instance, in the UK , anti-DDoS laws have been in place since 2006 and could result in you being sent to jail for up to ten years. Similar laws have also been present in Sweden since 2007.

It's the same story in the USA, (where I am writing from today) where they take a tough line on those who engage in denial-of-service attacks against websites. For instance, last year saw the jailing of a man who launched a DDoS attack against the Scientology website.

And just last month, 23-year-old Mitchell L Frost, of Bellevue, Ohio, was given a 30 month prison sentence for a series of DDoS attacks he launched against the websites of high profile US right-wingers Bill O'Reilly, Ann Coulter and Rudy Giuliani.

I have never been DDoSed and I never plan to be DDoSed or DDoS myself.

The closest I have came is on TeamSpeak when some random with a non IGN username asked for my Skype. I also noticed an old friend/someone I used to Skype with was in the call. Got scared I'd get DDoSed so I left the group, and changed all my Skype info.

I'm surprised there is DDoSing in the Mc-War forums, I guess it's not just a WarZ problem... It's a McBrawl problem too.
