I have a question that I have been talking about other players and I wanted some staff member or old member of the server such as me. The topic is random killing. For some reason the new rule is for most people is kill first ask questions later. Along time ago that was never the case more than one person could be in a town and people would "claim" a spot and only kill if someone attacked them. Now it not like that at all, everyone will kill each other and the whole thing has become a blood bath, raging, acusing, mess that makes people leave and quit a lot. So my question is for staff, was this the true purpose or was it meant to copy day-z as a survival work together, fight sometimes situation. thanks for reading -Cazards

Well, with Minecraft, you're not going to get an exact replica, but the staff tried their best to recreate DayZ in Minecraft and it worked out pretty damn well in my opinion, the only real fault is the community.

A long time ago, mc-warz was more oriented towards community as we were smaller. Since then, people have come and it has become competitive. Now that is is competitive, cheating such as macros and FF are used. So to answer your question why it is kill first answers later, people are scared to lose things as it is competitive. People work pretty hard to survive and compete. It is "Survival of the Fittest". This means doing whatever it takes to win, thus cheating occurs. As the community has grown so competitive and negative, people will be angry when they die. Honestly, it is a tragedy that hopefully can be reversed.

The purpose of War-z is to be Day-z in minecraft that is enjoyable, not something competitive, negative, and destructive.

Pfft, remember those days when you could block your sword at people and they would do it back you wouldn't have to worry about being betrayed?

Well if this was meant to copy DayZ, it's pretty darn close. Everyone on DayZ is KOS. I'd say less then %10 are "friendly".

I remember the day when WarZ was made and I can tell you the community has always killed on sight. There may have been brief moments when the random slaughter was less noticeable, but it has always been there. Of course not all of the community does this, but many feel much safer to kill on sight then possibly be stabbed in the back at a later time.

Regarding the purpose of WarZ, it is to mimic DayZ as closely as possible (as others have already stated). I would say that it does this quite well. If people kill on sight, it is not the fault of the server.

Some of us don't always KOS. I was playing today, and I'm a hero for the information, and I saw a noob in nether. I optifine'd his name and messaged him to log off. I'm not sure if he logged off because of my message or if he was scared of my 3/4 diamond, but he did. Later I saw @18kss and I told him to log also when he didn't have good loot. To me, I won't waste bullets on loot that won't give me bullets.

Go on any other mc server. People usually kos unless you're a threat. In warz a full leather can wipe a full diamond so people don't usually run in warz.

This is very true. If a full diamond is in the nether and he lets a leather live and loot, the leather person can find some barbed wire and a gun, then easily kill the full diamond. It's more an idea of security.

But you have to remember there is a team system and it is used. You kill to get loot then run places and get better loot and kill and so on.
    Loved those days xD.

Ever since the new map came out, I've actually had people wanting to peace, and don't kill on sight.

Thats because you're a good person like me  People like you and I have enough judgement to act like we're in the skin of the other person. So we are able to take the position of the other person and tell what he'd like. So in this case he wanted to survive of course so you thought about that and told him to log! While a "tryhard" player who wants to be on top would have just ran straight up to this guy and kill him. That was my opinion

In my opinion, WarZ would be less fun if you weren't supposed to KoS. I mean, it's a PvP game, and so why not have players fight?

It wasn't really shoot to kill but pretty much that, I mean some times people were friendly otherwise they would just headshot you. While DayZ is more of a social game, you wait before you shoot someone in the face.
