Servers Going Down in Flames

We could change the rules so that only 1 mod on a server at a time. This way, more servers would be moderated, instead of having 2 or 3 moderators on one server.

 

I can see where you're coming from, but that sounds a bit extreme. For example, lets say you and I are mods. If we just wanna play together for old times sake or something like that, we wouldn't be able to.

 

The mc-brawl community is trying to get them to stop. A lot of the big clans have rules about raging

 

But not everyone is in big clans, or clans in general at all

 

How is making donations gonna stop immaturity, and it seems you want ltx and lte gone... What has ltx and lte done 2 u?

Proxies don't do sh*t if the DDoSer is smart enough or motivated enough.

 

I agree... Sort of... Earlier today, I was playing summit tdm, and I killed @mamamote and he started raging. I came *this* close to logging off, when I kill someone and they say "GG LukenDan nice shot." I believe it was @messicat1 . Not only that, but they were in LTE which surprised me! Mamamote continued raging, but @jetset123456 joined in, and we calmed him down. We all eventually got along, and we are all friends now, even mamamote. In fact, I didn't see mama call hacks or noob at all for the rest of the time we were on!

I believe that War needs fixing. A major fixing. War is Brawl's core server, if that goes down, we are all done. It isn't too late, we can fix the community, but it will take work from everyone, and I mean everyone. We must work together, and change the community.

 

Actually MC-Party is our core server now, War is more of our pride and joy :v

I see where you are coming from, but frankly, MC-War is our core server. It was the second server to evolve from Orange and Chaploo (A fractions/survival server being the first) which got all the players, popularity, and money going around in MPS for Orange to create WarZ, and eventually he hired people/got new people (Like Phinary and CoderTim, who weren't around when I played) to revamp the PvP server officially and make MC-Party. MC-Party is our most popular server that makes most of the money for McBrawl, but MC-War was our first "game" server (Game as in a Minecraft version of a video game) which exhibits a lot of pride from the old timers, and can be considered our core server, from it being the first game MPS/McBrawl made.

So, (again) @wyatttrujillo , I see your point. However, the members aren't supposed to sit back and watch the flames rise and the wood burn. We've got fire extinguishers, just not as effective as the firetruck the staff has. That means that we, the members, should be teaming up to calm down the immature members and turn them around. Because I, myself, have anger management, I actually understand where their anger comes from, it isn't reasonable, either. It's like a "I get it my way and kill a lot of people" frame of mind, and if that doesn't happen we get very angry and rage, often calling hacks as an excuse for the "unexplained" way that they killed us. Plus, when you get cheap-shotted by a cbow being spammed in a tight corridor that ruins your KDR for the round, or OSKed in the face by a ray while you were ready to zombie EMP, or flat-out demolished in a tight map by a minigun, the rage inside makes you down right lash out at players in pure fury and be very immature in those cases, usually have no other way to calm your anger or channel it into a stress ball or pillow. You may regret your actions later, but usually it is impossible to stop what your doing and calm down in the moment. However, members can support you and assertively ask you to calm down, or just chill. I think its just me, but when I am angry from somebody using what (I've kept this to myself) is OP and just shouldn't be used, I lash out and start flaming on them. Sorry for those I had lashed out to. @Skulduggery57 I did that to you when you used mini + armor and nuked me, plus gave me 15 deaths. It won't take just one moderator to stop the angry and the incredibly frustrated like me; it'll take the entire community. Sorry if this was long, but I had to get my opinion out.

I really like this idea, I do what I can to stop people using caps/spamming the chat, but usually I'm ignored or given a sarcastic "Yes ma'am." Unless multiple players all ask him/her to stop whatever it is he/she is doing, no progress is ever made.

 

I don't know about you, but when I'm irate, people trying to calm me down makes me more angry. I feel we should just censor more antagonizing words, so ones that are 'boiling' don't 'boil over' when someone says something about how they got killed. Does that make sense?

 

Yes, but any time I try to warn somebody or something like that, a mod tells me in a PM that it looks "unprofessional" and that I shouldn't do it.

 

I got an alert saying I was tagged, took me forever too find it. Damn small print. It's OK, trust me, I HATE mini gun on Hijacked, but I use it anyway because I'm a hypocrite xD

As for the rest of your post, I agree with about 10% of it and I didn't read the other 90% :V
But I agree about the staff firefighting thing, the staff do have bigger fire trucks, we just gotta stand by and let them do their job without hating and complaining or if you don't think they're doing a good enough job, apply for staff yourself.

 

Well I better throw in my opinion. To say the least.. The community is in hell. Glitchers, spammers, advertisers, etc. Now I wouldn't go as far to say we need to nerf guns and donation items (but a few things really need a nerf..)

Anyway my point is. The way to fix the community isn't by nerfing guns or anything as ignorant as that. Along with that, banning or muting every person who spams or abuses on the server will kill the playerbase. For the most part this is a problem that has no short or easy solution. There's many solutions but it's up to the staff and community to figure it out.
