New target trend

Its just another reason to get upset at players.
It can be aggravating to be targeted, but that's just how that game is played.
Besides, if someone announces that they are going to nuke next round, they better expect the other team to put up a good fight.

 

I do see this a lot. Whenever I kill someone that's past an EMP, they call me a targeter 94.7% of the time. It is in fact annoying.

 

I've noticed this a lot also.

I target people to stop their nuke.

 

Yea, one game @soccerstars was screaming at me because I killed him like 5 times in a game. (I'm sorry!) But, he called me a "targetter" because he was the only one in my range. (pipeline_tdm) I was camping on top of a house with a sniper and every time he passed by, I shot him. I didn't mean to "target" but I see where soccer gets the idea that I was targetting.

 

Yeah, my policy is to shoot first, and ask questions later. I never read the nametags before I shoot someone, as long as they are on the other team, I am fine with shooting them. Only a complete jerk would try to target someone.

 

Targeting is actually playing the game.

 

I for one, claim to be a targeter. Not just a targeter but a Bouny Hunter (from the Star Wars series that is).

 

I subconsciously target crossbow users because they look different while firing (raised arms) and leave a nice trail of sparks behind most of their shots.

Didn't even notice I was doing it until a game of WildWest where two different crossbows called me out on it.

 

I was really pissed off when that happened, my brother and me got in a fight and obviously I get blamed for not stopping it, so I went on my pc and I was just pissed at the world.

It's quite sad. It's common sense to go for the person who is the most dangerous. I mean, you're supposed to stop people from launching that nuke, not stand by and let them do it. It's hard to even get a 25 killstreak in CoD, it shouldn't be easy in War.

 

Targetting is reasonable if you have launched your EMP and you are seeking the one who launched that EMP, but if you regularly ignore other players, pass then, and specifically kill a player when there are 10 people around them that would be pretty to kill, that is not cool. When I start getting really angry inside, I usually start to target whoever had killed me several times. Honestly, cbows are my primary target because I know that I have 2 seconds to kill them after I am shot, and plus them being spammed around a corner can be quite frustrating. Its infuriating to have someone who is targeting you always there and shooting at you, because you finally die after killing them 7 times, yet they call it a gg, which I find is baloney. If you die 7 times before you kill me, I can give you a slow clap because you wasted 7 deaths and lowered your kdr just to kill me.

Well I got targeted like yesterday, I was pretty much killing the all team myself then just after I launched my EMP 5 guys went yolo mod on me an killed me...

 

The issue with people calling others "targeters" is that half the time you only kill them once or twice. Personally I choose to ignore them, as they're not worth my time.

 

I rarely say it, but when I do it's because someone is a tryhard to kill me and if I'm frustrated at the same time.
And like I said, I only said targeter like 3 - 5 times and that was in the past, I don't say it anymore

 

I've never called anybody out for "targeting", mostly because it makes no sense. And it's stupid. 99% of the time, when someone targets you after you launch an EMP to stop a nuke, they call you a "targeter". And when they say that, over 50% of the time, they're hypocrites because they will target the player who will next launch an EMP. It's never-ending, stupid, idiotic, and hypocritical.
