Sub-Machine guns vs Assault Rifles

Ooo, that's a hard one.
Myself, i'd have to go with Assault Rifles.

 

Ump is my favorite gun currently, so id say smgs

Because it shoots more bullets there's more knockback on the enemie, so you can pretty much lock your target and kill him for sure since the knockback makes aiming very difficult.

Also, assault rifle does more damage per shot but not twice.


I think SMGS and assault rifle's DPS are the same but the knockback gives the SMGs an advantage.

 

I'm not a man of the close ranged fights, so assault rifles.

 

I prefer the SMG's. Especially the P90.

 

Well according to putty :

• Rifles have 0.15 bullets/second and SMGs have 0.1 bullets/second.
• SMGs do half the damage of their corresponding rifle tier.
  • Example: AK-47 (IV) does 8 damage and P90 (IV) does 4 damage.
• Rifles shoot a distance of 200 blocks and SMGs shoot 76 blocks. (Doesn't really matter)
• Rifles bullet speed is 4.25 and SMGs are 4.4.

I think putty meant to say that smgs do .15 bullets a second and rifles do .1 bullets a second, which means that in per 150 shots you get with an SMG you get 100 shots with an AR. And since SMG's are only doing half the amount of damage of a same tier rifle, then a SMG which has shot 150 bullets will have done 75 points of damage compared to the 150 points of damage a rifle does. Since a SMG is 50% faster, in the 150 shots you get with a AR, you're getting 225 shots with a SMG. Which equates to 150 points of damage with the AR, and 122.5 points of damage with the smg.

So obviously the AR is better, but a lot of people find the p90's easier to use becuase when you're shooting a gun, if the first 2 bullets hit then the rest just stack up on top of that and its near instant death with either weapon anyway so...not too great of a difference, in the end it just comes down to preference, also smgs are easier to aim with becuase missing a single bullet isnt a big of a deal as missing a single bullet with the ak.

And in my opinion the ak 47 is the best "flint" using weapon in the game becuase it is boss, and also I am a boss with it on other games.

 

I've never used an AR... Always the SMGs here.

All of them are somewhat decent, but only the prestige auto's are good. (imo)

 

To me, It used to be assault rifles then on the new servers it's smg's. Today, I killed a 3/4 diamond with 16 ammo. Also the P90 is Extremely powerful and shoots pretty fast.

 

Oops! I was talking about mc-war. On WarZ, it's quite different. Assault rifle's, definitely.

 

I prefer SMGs because they have an immensely powerful firerate, which makes up for its low damage.

 

I'd have to say SMGs, the P90 is just so over-powered...
