We did have a faction server in the past, but due to general unpopularity, we replaced it with PVP Survival.

 

I remember Factions, and it was my favorite server. However, it was taken down at the 1.7 update.
This was suggested, but they aren't taking it back.

 

I would fully support bringing back the old factions server, but I doubt it will happen anytime soon if at all.

 

I don't know. McBrawl doesn't seem like it would fit with that. All of the servers are unique. There's a ton of faction servers.

 

I don't want the ragers and such migrating over to war or something else.
Also, factions comes with a lot of hackers :v

 

Faction servers are quite different:
Players thrive off of using xray to find bases, use PvP hacks and tracers to enhance battles, and faction servers are just known to have hackers.

 

So is WarZ.

 

Players don't use xray to find chests that people have put countless days of working filling with items... That's the big problem.

 

I am afraid I must agree with cBeeaR. It is very much true that factions servers often fall prey to hackers, however, not to the extent that the server is unplayable/it becomes a major issue. When the old factions server was up we did have many xrayers indeed, but most of these xrayers abused the hack for mining purposes. Even when someone did find a base using xray, they still needed to find a way to get in, a daunting task if the base was well built. Regardless of why they used xray, the majority of these players were caught and banned in an efficient manner. Their presence was hardly noticeable then and I do not believe it would be any more noticeable if the factions server was brought back to life.
I still doubt that the factions server will be brought back, however, I do not think it will stay as a resigned server because of something as simple as hackers.

 

But... PvP survival is exactly like that...
