Bouncing tomahawks?

    So basically like have bouncing tomahawks? It would be awesome for trickshots + Its not that op because you only have one, Idk if this is possible but it would be really cool. Maybe it could Bounce 2-4 times?

    Not sure about the idea. It could maybe bounce off once, but is it even codable?

    Well they have made Molotovs and nades Bounce of walls so why not? Or well they kinda.. like doesnt Bounce i just realized.. so idk, But wait.. There is a bukkit plugin which makes eggs and snowballs Bounce.. Mcwar could probably code a simular plugin for the tomahawk

    It might be a bit hard to code. Yes they made grenades, flash bangs, etc bounce off walls. However when you throw a tomahawk it turns into a bullet, a tomahawk can't bounce off walls. But maybe orange can think of something. :smile:

    Looks possible. I know that the video is showcasing a mod, but he says it only changes the gravity of the item to make them bounce. I assume this could be altered to fit the bouncing tomahawk, correct me if I am wrong. There would have to be certain instances when it would bounce and not bounce. Just like call of duty.

    Not sure I like the idea... Do real throwing axes bounce off the walls?...

    There's a Sethbling plugin that does this with slimes, but I'm not sure if it could be done with a tomahawk.

    It all depends on force, material, and landing orientation, in reality. How much force you put into throwing an axe will determine how far the bounce will go. The material will tell how well it will bounce. Where it lands will determine if it will even bounce at all.

    It would be cool if tomahawks bounced 1 time, but not more than that.

    That is not what you want...
    The tomahawk when thrown is a snowball, which is slightly different than a dropped item...
    Correct me if i'm wrong but the snowball has very different physics and that mod wouldn't help it...

    It IS possible to code, but it's gonna be hard as heck...
    Too much effort just to make a tomahawk bounce...

    I am not saying that is exactly what we want. I was just stating that in some shape and form it is possible, Krcoon. :wink:
