    This may be McBrawl's most successful server if it were to be executed perfectly or at least mostly. Now some of you have experienced servers that feature TF2 in them but what do they miss? A lot of parts from the actual TF2 and mostly guns. However, we the McBrawl community, have very talented coders as well as members experienced with the guns plugin in McWar and McWarZ. If we were to have a TF2 server with guns, my predictions are that we might have it as successful as McWar or McParty. However, what's most important is the experience and fun that this server will provide as that is what we must focus on mostly. How every feature should be.

    In this thread, I have too many topics to discuss about the game (Guns, classes, maps, etc) so here's what I'll do.

    To keep this thread up with updates on this idea, I'll edit this post with more features that we can implement onto the McBrawl TF2 server from the actual game. I highly reccommend you put in your own ideas as well to add into this post and keeping it awake.

    SERVER RULES:
    - When I mean the amount of hearts that are affected by damage, I mean on a player with NO armor so armor will have a resistance against bullets depending on the class and the weapon that is being used
    - All classes will have Mining Fatigue II so we won't have players who spam their melee weapons
    - Only explosive weapons will do knockback because I have experienced spawn campers myself (Will be discussed on later)
    - Like the actual TF2, there is no need to aim unless you are using a Sniper class
    - If hats were to be added, they will have to replace helmets that are worn for defensive purposes, we will try to find a way around this issue
    - While fighting against teams, red and blue nametags will be used to distinguish between teams. Players can not be able to see enemy nametags as well but can see their allies nametags
    - Critical hits (Blows to the head) will do twice as much damage as a regular shot
    - Currently, the EULA is under effect so no donor items will be made for now

    CLASSES:

    Scout: The Scout is the fastest class in the game. Though it is very defenseless against attacks, it's speed and double jump can dodge most bullets and melee attacks. Scouts carry a shotgun, pistol, and a bat.

    Stats:
    - Speed II
    - Leather tunic, pants, and boots
    - Jump Boost I
    - Double jump boost of 1 block high

    - Scattergun (Wooden Pickaxe)
    - 6 rounds per clip
    - Carries 38 shells in total (including the 6 shells in the shotguns to start with)
    - 10 blocks range
    - 2 hearts per bullet (snowball)
    - Same bullet speed as other shotguns from McWar
    - Reload speed of 0.4 seconds per shell
    - Firing rate of 0.4 seconds
    - 8 bullets realeased each shot

    - Pistol (Wooden Pistol)
    - 12 rounds per clip
    - Carries 48 bullets in total (including 12 bullets to start with)
    - 14 blocks range
    - 2.5 hearts per bullet (snowball)
    - Bullet speed of 20 blocks per second
    - Reload speed 1.5 seconds
    - Firing rate of 0.2 seconds

    - Sandman (Stick)
    - 5 hearts per melee hit
    - Right click: Baseball (snowball)
    - Causes nausea effect of 5 seconds if the ball hits the opponent successfully
    - Nausea effect of II and lasts 6.5 seconds if the head is impacted
    - 10 block range (With an arc)
    - 8 second reload speed
    - Infinite ammo (baseballs)
    - 2 hearts of damage


    Soldier: The Soldier is the first class for most beginners as he wields a rocket launcher, a shotgun, and a shovel. He also has the ability to boost himself into the air while firing a rocket at his feet to gain an advantage while fighting.

    Stats:
    - Slowness I
    - Iron helmet, chain tunic and leggings, and leather boots
    - Blast resistance of I (If that exists in Minecraft because I don't remember that)

    - Rocket Launcher (Golden Hoe)
    - The rocket is a wither head with a speed that is as twice as fast as it is in McWar
    - Splash damage of a 3x3 block area
    - 4 rockets per "clip"
    - 0.5 reload speed for each rocket
    - Infinite range (Like the Law from McWar)
    - 0.4 second firing rate
    - 24 rockets in total including 4 to start with
    - 10 hearts of damage in splash radius
    - Rocket Boost Ability:
    - Firing anywhere in the splash radius of yourself as a soldier
    - Costs 1.5 of your hearts
    - Will hurt only you and a close enemy
    - Boosts you as high as 8 blocks (3 blocks higher if you jump before launching)
    - If you rocket launch while running, you will propel yourself forward to that direction (Twice as fast if you jump)
    - If shouldn't get you OOM because of the new 1.8 barriers

    - Shotgun (Stone pickaxe)
    - 38 shells total including 6 to start with
    - 10 blocks range
    - 2 hearts per bullet (snowball)
    - Same bullet speed as other shotguns from McWar
    - Reload speed of 0.3 seconds per shell
    - Firing rate of 0.5 seconds
    - 8 bullets released each shot

    - Shovel (Iron Shovel)
    - 6 hearts per melee hit


    Pyro: The only class whose primary is the inflict the enemy with longlasting flames, Pyro is the one who is feared a lot. Though it's flamethrower has a very short range, it is good for burning down groups of enemies quickly.

    Stats:
    - Fire Resistance X (Completely fireproof but can still take damage from fire charges)
    - Pumpkin for a helmet (Might be changed), chain chestplate, leggings, and boots

    -Flamethrower (Golden Pickaxe)
    - 6-7 block range
    - Uses the same ammo and bullet as the one from McWar
    - 200 fire charges to begin with
    - Fire damage is 0.1 hearts per fire charge
    - Fire stays for 4-5 seconds before wearing off
    - 0.2 second bullet firing rate
    - Range of every fire charge is 1.5 blocks
    - Right click : Creates airblast effect which pushes back the enemy(ies) by 7 blocks and takes 6 seconds to recharge

    - Flare Gun (Unknown Item)
    - 7 block range
    - Bullet is a fire charge (Might be changed)
    - 1 bullet clip
    - 17 bullets in total including one loaded in to begin with
    - Ignites enemy for 4 seconds
    - 2 hearts of damage upon contact with the bullet
    - 1 second reload time

    -Fireaxe (Stone Axe)
    -4 hearts per melee hit

    Demoman: The Demoman is a very unique class that has the ability to attack enemies with lethal explosives making it a very useful class. His primary grenade launcher is useful for medium-ranged fights while his sticky bomb launcher allows him to set up traps for incoming opponents. Furthermore, Demoknights are a new feature for this class in the actual TF2.

    Stats: (Will be named later) (Demoknight set will be named soon)

    - Grenade Launcher (Unknown item)
    - The ammo type will be an ordinary egg from Minecraft
    - It's arc and range will be exactly as a thrown egg in Minecraft (approximately 8 blocks range)
    - 20 ammo to start off with (4 loaded already)
    - A direct hit will cause explosive damage of up to 6 hearts
    - Projectile speed will be that of a thrown egg in Minecraft
    - Grenades will detonate after 2 seconds within launch
    - Splash radius of 2x2 blocks
    - Reload time of 0.5 seconds per grenade
    - 4 rounds per clip

    -Sticky bomb launcher (BOW, might be changed)
    - 40 ammo to start off with (8 loaded in at spawn)
    - The ammo type will be an arrow that will stick to surfaces until detonated or the launcher is killed
    - Switch out of your sticky bomb launcher into another hotkey slot in order to detonate every arrow (bomb)
    - 0.5 reload time
    - Projectile range is normally 5-6 with 9 blocks being a fully charged shot. Remember it's a bow for now so it fires arrows.

    - Splash range is 2.5 x 2.5 blocks
    - Explosive damage will inflict 4x4 hearts within each explosion

    - Bottle (Glass Bottle)
    - Regular glass bottle inflicting 3 hearts of damage with each hit

    I'd love to see this happen. Rocket jumping (if possible) and market gardening people would be fun :3

    my god this might actually become a thing...

    one question:
    how will the HATS work? and the custom guns.. i am sure that if you can only use one particular gun for every class, it will not reach the top like mc-war and mcparty...

    also how will this be purchased... it might seem easy to make but what about the coding? it will once again add even more work and if there will be hats that need textures and special guns that need textures it will take a long time to be added...

    and since the EULA will happen soon there might be a shortage since there will be fewer donations so it will take EVEN LONGER!

    i say that this is a great idea... but it still needs some work!

    Unless the damage ramp-up can be kept the same as in TF2, I suggest keeping the scattergun's range shorter.

    Also, the pistol is too powerful. If it were to be true to the game, the pistol would do about 1-2 damage at maximum range and 3 damage at close range.

    Armor would need to be carefully conducted to simulate actual health.

    Based on the variability of Tf2 guns, I would have to say this might not work. There are what, 100 or so Tf2 guns, each with special effects. Personally I would have to sadly say that although a good idea, this might not work too well.

    Let me try a class.

    Sniper: The sniper is the best class at long range. At short range, he has a SMG and a Kukri to defend himself with. He can be most commonly found in the back of the fight.


    Stats:
    -Slowness for scope; a pumpkin head is put on you every time you scope. Can be textured to look like scoping.
    -Leather Tunic,pants, and boots (Sniper has the same amount of health as scout)


    -Sniper Rifle (wooden axe)
    -No clip
    -25 Rounds
    -Headshot: 20 hearts
    -Body shot:3 Hearts
    -1 Second delay between shot
    -Fast bullet speed*

    -SMG
    -25 round clip size
    -100 bullets (including rounds already in)
    -1/2 heart per bullet
    -Same firing speed as normal SMGs
    -Reload Speed: .9 seconds

    -Kukri
    -1 and a half heart per hit
    -Attack speed: same as sword
    *Bullet speed. I don't want it to be something you can dodge.

    This should help us get through EULA and would provide a great new server at the same time.
    I would like to see this being worked on after 2.0 is released possibly.

    This could be a great, but it would take some time to code compared to other things. Each class has different health and therefore armor and/or the resistance effect would have to be just right. There are also lots and lots and lots and lots of guns and items in TF2, there probably aren't enough items in the game to replace, so it would have to be kept simple. The game would probably start off with only stock weapons being available, with other items and features being available later.

    If they could do this, it would be a great server.

    We're trying to make it more accurate to the actual game. More accurate than any other TF2 server.

    How would we have the Engineer class, hat/crate/item system? This would take a ton to code.

    The engineer class can have something.
    Maybe a snow golem? Every time you hit it, the 'sentry gun' does more damage.
    The dispenser should be a flower pot, maybe?
    The teleporter? We can do pressure plates, but that might turn into glitching stuff.

    The engineer class shouldn't be too hard, they have it on mcpvps capture the flag

    Anyways, I like this idea! Also, this could be a good way of getting donations. If we reach a certain crowd funding goal ( this does work with the Eula) we get a tf2 server

    That is the definition of trolling...
    And in TF2 the rocket does more damage to the feet than anywhere else...
    I've heard of Headshots, but Footshots?

    I'll try the heavy class :grinning:

    Heavy: The heavy is the class with the most health... It is meant as a defensive class (the best one IMO)...
    His only drawback is his slowness... He is very slow...
    He carries a minigun, a small sawed off shotgun and his melee weapon is his fists...

    Stats:
    - Slowness 2 (or 3)
    - Diamond chest, pants, helmet, and boots
    - Strength 3 (for fists melee)

    - Minigun(Diamond [like in mcwar])
    - 64 rounds per clip
    - Carries 128 shells in total (including the 6 shells in the shotguns to start with)
    - 20 blocks range
    - 1 hearts per bullet (snowball) [let me know if 1 heart is too much or too little]
    - Same bullet speed as minigun from McWar
    - Reload speed 3 seconds

    - Shotgun (Wooden Shovel)
    - 6 rounds per clip
    - Carries 38 shells in total (including the 6 shells in the shotguns to start with)
    - 10 blocks range
    - 2 hearts per bullet (snowball)
    - Same bullet speed as other shotguns from McWar
    - Reload speed of 0.4 seconds per shell

    I think the scout should have a stone pickaxe which is better than the secondary of the heavy...

    - Fists (melee, fists)
    - Deliver quick blows with the strength effects...

    If you need to know anything else, tell me...



    Also: This could work very well...
    If Brawl has any intention on actually adding this, you should contact the F1R3 build team about making TF2 accurate maps...

    They don't need to add every single gun from TF2 at the moment. Only at the major weapons and then the coders can keep updating the server from there.

    I think mcbrawl needs a new server that doesnt have any guns like minecraft party. There is already 5 servers with guns. (mc-war, mc-warZ, minestrike, Murder and fpshg)
