In my opinion, they should spend more time on public channels. That way they can connect to the community and help out. I'm just sick seeing mods sitting in private channels, carelessly. Look at our WarZ or PvP mods and tell me that ain't true. However, I do understand that they may for instance, team with someone. But that is no excuse to ignore the community. After all, their focus is on watching the chat in-game and doing stuff, not fighting or making something. Once, I suggested for a staff member to do so, but he/she ignored me. Didn't even reply.
    Summary:
All staff members should visit public channels for at least, a bit of time. Some moderators are doing this already. Obviously, this just my opinion.

First of all, you must understand we use the Mod+ channel to work in. Admins & SMODs are in there when they are working. And some times, moderators may be involved in that so hence they would be in there as well.

However, this is something we addressed at our last staff meeting. We want (in particularly) moderators go get out of the Private Channels and connect with the community. And to be perfectly honest, I rarely see moderators sat in Mod+, and if there are a group of mods playing on the servers in Mod+, they're either asked to move out, or we move them out.

Well, if I'm on Teamspeak I'm mainly in private channels thats right.
But everytime I look over all public channels I mostly only see one channel that has more than 1 user in it (and almost everytime there is already a mod in it).
Sometimes I go into the public channel of the server I'm currently on so players can come and ask if they need help or something, but I just don't see the point why mods always have to be in public rooms lonely when all normal users spend their time in private channels.

    For example:
At the moment there is one public channel filled with 8 users, and 2 of them are mods.
All other public rooms have max. 1 user in them and there are like 12 private channels.
Would it really change anything if I join that one room that already has 2 moderators in it?
    I guess no.

PS: Your poll is really unnecessary.

Moderators are normally very good at being out with the community and getting into channels other than Mod+. I know for a fact that Putty has asked all the staff to interact more with others on TS, and I rarely go a day without seeing staff meddling with people in open channels.

I fully support you on this. I have recently been joining channels with lots of rules being broke. Streaming audio through their mic, having inappropriate names, and voice changers. It makes me mad that when I actually want to talk to somebody I can't do it because others are ruining the public channels.

There is almost always at least one member of staff somewhere on the teamspeak. We can't be in every channel at once, if you see this happening, message a member of staff asking them to join the channel and resolve the issue.

It basically depends on the situation, if I was a staff member and I went on ts and saw 3 WarZ channels with 12 people on them each, 2 random private channels, and a channel with 1 guy in it, it would be kind of awkward choosing a channel.

I always message @yinskape, because everyone else is either ingame ignoring me or too busy... c'mon peas I'm not that stupid! Just maybe if the mods would come out of their little caves I could actually talk to them instead of type.

Well thank you, also just putting this out there, if you can't help someone or you're afk go to the afk room or make sure it's obvious you can't help so I don't waste my time waiting for a reply...

I know that I am one that does not go into private channels or the Mod+ channel all that often.
I am normally in a public channel, playing with normal players. That way I can also moderate TS3.

In my opinion, the duty of being a staff member on McBrawl has already restricted the mods in what they can do as far as actually playing the game.
The whole point of this network is for people to enjoy themselves and have a good time. On TeamSpeak, people do that as well, it gives them an opportunity to communicate with their friends and converse while playing the game.

The staff here do an excellent job in every aspect, but there is a cost to that. A lot of the things players do not have to worry about, moderators do have to. This takes time and focus away from the game itself and in a way restricts the staff from being able to relax.

The staff enjoy themselves on TeamSpeak, as they play with members of the community and they do their job at the same time. A lot of this is centered around WarZ and Survival PvP. You must understand that if you are in a public channel conversing about WarZ or Survival matters there are a lot of things that should not be public. If a team on WarZ were fighting another team that were in the same exact channel on TeamSpeak it would be chaotic. Similar outcome for PvP.

So my point here is, staff do a lot here. They work hard, and they do their job well. As long as they are actually on TeamSpeak and answer people's questions, I see no reason why they can't carry along with what they do now and how they currently operate.

Not true. I talk with @cuddlemonster09 all the time in public channels and she is a PvP moderator.

When I was mod, I always was in public or in the mod+ channel. Either way, I was still moderating.

Honestly, For some of the mods this is really true, I usually see them in private ones. But for most like me stick more around public ones. I agree that some need to check public more often but still they are more mods that actually prefer public instead of private

Honestly the only mod I ever saw in public rooms on a daily basis was @_PublicEnemy_.
All the other mods are locked in their private channel and never respond to PMs or let you in.
I understand that they have teams and everything for WarZ and PvP, but why should they apply if a requirement of mod is being active and helpful on TS when all they really do us chat with their team in private channels all day.
Now while yes, the mods need breaks every now and then but I feel they should have something like at least 1-2 hours in public channels a day.
It really is getting out of control in public channels sometimes.

I'm in public channels a lot. The only reason I haven't been on Teamspeak yesterday or today was because I was in a hotel yesterday because my Dad was shooting a movie at my house, and still is. Every time I'm on Teamspeak, I see at least one mod in a public channel, and this was after our staff meeting. Now, I know that there are a lot of moderators that like to lurk in the Private channels. Unless there's a legit reason to that, they shouldn't be doing that. But you're making it seem like every moderator does this, @Credo007lv. This is not true whatsoever. As booflame said, I talk to cuddle monster all the time. I also talk with Chickenninja, Darkchaosknight, munkey, Scoat, and a lot of other mods. What you're exclaiming right now seems to be a bit of an exaggeration. Don't pin this on all mods when only some of them are like this.

I try to stick around the public channels as much as I can, I am usually in the creative channel.
But I have to agree with you, many Moderators are most of the time in private channels.
Though, there are still Moderators in the public channels sometimes.

When I look around teamspeak, the are usually some mods in public channels, however I agree that there are certain staff members that stick to private channels. Even if you aren't talking to them though, I assume they will help you if you pm them.
