    Hello everyone, Random Citizen here. I love Minecraft Murder, and I am sure you guys all do as well. However, I have noticed that it is extremely difficult to play as the murderer. It is nigh impossible to kill everyone without being shot. Why is this you ask? Well, the main reason is:

    The murderer always seems to end up out numbered by the armed bystanders.

    I will give you an example of a typical Minecraft Murder match. The game starts with one or two murderers and the same amount of armed bystanders. Even in this situation, the murders are at a disadvantage because anyone can pick up a gun to become an armed bystander, but once a murderer is dead, there is no coming back. However, this is not the unbalanced situation I am talking about. When things get really crazy is when three or four bystanders get 5 emeralds and become armed bystanders as well! That means that usually there are five or six armed bystanders (who can pass on their gun to another player if they die) to the one or two murderers (who can't come back if they die)! It is nearly impossible to do anything as a murderer if you have five or six guns trained on you.

    I believe that the game would be more fun if the murderers actually had a chance to win. There are a few ways that this can be accomplished.

    1. Further nerf the 44. Magnum.

    This actually isn't that bad of an idea when you think about it. The situation is almost never a single armed bystander taking on the murderer. If this was the case, the murder would probably win anyways. It's usually four or five armed bystanders shooting at the murderer. I believe that this could be implemented by making the 44. Magnum a two shot kill. Now, I know what you are thinking. "That's horribly under-powered for the armed bystanders! No way!" Well, what if health regeneration was turned off? Think about it. That way you can't just tank a shot from the gun. Every bit of health matters. Of course, if you shoot a bystander, you still die. The only issue I see from this is that armed bystanders have a nasty habit of hitting bystanders around with their guns. However, I think that this needs to be fixed anyways, so it shouldn't be much of an issue.

    2. Decrease the amount of clues that can be found, or increase the amount of emeralds needed to become an armed bystander.

    This is not my favorite idea. Yes, it would balance things, but it would come at the cost of more players forced to be a helpless bystander. This would make the game less interesting for those players.

    3. Increase that amount of players that spawn as a murderer.

    Now this is deferentially an option. Not only would this give the murderers a better chance of winning, but it would also decrease the amount of players forced to play as unarmed bystanders. This would make the game more interesting and balanced at the same time.

    What do you think of these ideas? Do you have some good ideas that would help to balance the game?

    If one or three becomes implemented then that will balance it out, not both of them, that would be overkill.
    Two would possibly change the small rounds, but, it is nearly impossible to get 5 clues as a bystander when there are 20+ on :/

    I agree. I never intended for any two to be implemented at one time. I was thinking maybe only one of the ideas.

    When the server had 90 people on, I would see probably 6 clues in just the nearest room to spawn. Somebody that'd make the game a bit more fair is that headshots should be instant-kill, however the body shots leave the murderer on something like 2-5 hearts. The clues seem to take a bit of time to find (saying that my best time is like 20ish seconds for all 5 clues) and with many people on, only so many can find 5 clues. I'd have to admit the game ATM is usually "The murderer takes down 2-5 people before he's shot, and when the game is over there are still 20 ish players left."
    kind of thing. I never see the murderer win with a large amount of players on, because there are usually more armed-bystanders than murderers. To be honest, if all 3 were implemented it'd make the game more interesting. The murderers would have a chance, bystanders would have to be careful, and the armed bystanders must be very aware of whats happening.

    I think idea 3 would be the best, and it's always fun to play as a murderer so more people would enjoy that

    I believe all that needs to be done is smaller servers just like it is on GMOD.

    So 1-10 servers with 4-8 people on each, 1 murderer and 1 magnum.

    Maybe remakes of popular maps on GMOD Murder.
