    I guess many of you have already reported someone for spamming negative ratings
    Thats the point: I know that the ratings should express the other members' opinion.
    But if you think a bit more about the rating system, you see that it only makes trouble.
    Liked people get like/funny etc, disliked members get only dislike/pointless. Then the disliked members take revenge and spam negative ratings to the liked members. Finally, the mods who have to do much work have to pay attention to such a stupid flamewar. You guys allways way the mods are too less online on the servers, and thats right, because they have to do unnecessary work. So the point is: without the rating system we have less flame wars for the players, like "HE RATED ALL MY POST POINTLESS!!!" and the other player says "YOU DID THE SAME!!!" That way there is a lot of hate and trouble on the server.
    And now think mc-war would remove the rating system and would make it like facebook: like or nothing.
    There wont be so much hate, nobody can report players for negative rating spam.
    no unnecessary ratings = less hate and trouble about it = the mods dont need to pay attention to those unnecessary problems = the mods have more time to be on the server = they can kick/ban ragers/glitchers.
    And i guess thats what all of you want, LESS raging/haters. With the current rating system we get MORE haters/ragers
    I hope you understand that.
    So make it like facebook: like or nothing

    PS: I have a lot of experience with getting reported for negative rating spam,and i know the mods prefer playing on the server and not look at all those rating reports.

    You're main point in your argument is that moderators have to do the job that they volunteered to do by stopping flame wars, dealing with reports, etc. If people spam negative ratings, they get disciplined. Simple as that.

    i am sure that if a post gets to many pointless ratings that it will get removed... the ratings are very useful as they can show you how useful, informative or how offensive it is... esspecially if you look at @trevorisbad post named 'noobs that make you rage' where the pointless ratings showed that it was REALLY pointless... wich it was

    See I don't think you read this part of your thread, because if you did, you wouldn't have made this.
    The rating system is fine as it is, see my view of this as you're I believe the 3rd most disliked member on the forums, you made this so you can seem more liked, this is like me making a server idea thread in WarZ requiring all players to have pony skins, I am only making it due to myself, not because of the fact that I think it would benefit WarZ, which obviously, it wouldn't.

    Erebos I believe that you came up with this idea so you can stop getting punished for spamming dislikes and other negative ratings. I have picture proof and would be glad to show it in public.

    This won't help...

    Anyways, as these peeps said, the rating system is fine as it is, you just have to be careful on what you post so you don't get flamed on. Dumb posts = negative ratings, simple as that.

    You're not going to lose a day of your life if you get a dislike, no-one really cares that much. (you kinda have to be a bit sad to be crying over a dislike) Just shrug it off and carry on as usual.

    Now do you still prefer the new way ?

    hi this is my life story i played mcbrawl and then went on forums. it was fun lots of cool stuffs Even got a LIKE!
    then it happened... i got a negative rating Life Is over for me and i will be commiting suicide now.

    Anyways, I think the current rating system is fine. I like being able to give my opinions. If there's something I agree with? Boom, agree rating. Disagree? Disagree rating.
    It's a good way to show your opinions without making a useless post. As Majora said and has been quoted many times, anyone who abuses the rating system will be punished.
    I like being able to give my opinion with ratings, and I'm sure many do too. Ratings don't mean much anyhow.
