Discussion about SWATing mainly. Don't even know how people find enjoyment in doing it, it's probably the lowest level of "hacking", and is really simple to pull off. What annoys me is that there is nothing police can really do about it. What are your opinions on these kind of people that SWAT?

They are second only to DDoSers in level of stupidity. SWATing someone because of a computer game is ridiculous. If you're going to call the SWAT team on someone, do it for a legitimate reason.

This isn't really funny, this is just a way to waste the SWAT's time and perhaps cost a live and a way to become a total dick. There should be some sort of consequence to whomever made the false alarm, as they are wasting their time and creating a joke in a real life world.

Anyone sending in false reports, especially at the level of calling in the SWAT team would be, would be convicted a felon. Doing that sends the whole area into panic.

It is the lowest someone can go on those levels (DDoSing, hacking, etc). It is in no way funny. It is a pain is the @$$ to police, and is highly illegal. When the national news has a 5 minute segment on it, you know how serious it is. You need mental help if you SWAT someone.
Finding someone's IRL address, then call the police and tell them to dispatch the SWAT team to a house, sounding like they have a bomb or something really serious.

Wow ! For real ? This is like calling the police but worse . Who would have balls even to do this ? What would you get out of this anyways .
    - Get yelled at by the SWAT
    - Could get arrested
    - Just a jackass move

What annoys me the most is that of how simple it is to do to someone. Sucks to say that but its true

I agree with you completely Mario . It is very sad and disappointing since they use VERY expensive equipment to save OUR lives .

Not could, will. Yelling is an understatement. You will get thrown in jail for a good while. The problem is people get fake phone numbers, so a good amount of times the police can not track who the called was. On average, the SWAT team costs $100,000 to be put on. You know what happens if you are in California and you get caught? You have to pay every penny.
Anyone not believe me on how it was on the national news? http://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/swatting-hoax-tricks-police-swat-teams-n88281 . Watch if you want a story on it.

Swatting someone is not acceptable, if you're going to do that to someone over a block game, then you need to get some serious help. I've even seen instances on the news from someone swatting someone else because of mcpvp. It's amazing what measures people divert to nowadays.

I don't believe SWAT would travel to Norway. The US would just bamb yur ass. Jk. They would contact authorities in Norway about the persons whereabouts.
