Command mixup?

If you log out of a server too many times in a short space of time it kills you. This is in case there are enemies nearby and you continually come back to check on your compass if they are still there. It prevents abuse of pvp logging.

 

This explains. If you log out three times within a span of a few minutes, you will log back in to see the death screen. This still happens if you do /logout. Just be careful on how many times you log into a server.
When you kill yourself, you lose everything.

Unlocked by request. It seems that the player had immediately died when typing /logout, similar to how /suicide works.

 

Tweety, try to word posts like this differently. I too, thought that you meant you died when logging back on, and not dying right when you typed /logout. If you died immediately after typing /logout, I believe that's a bug and can be reported here: https://www.brawl.com/forums/36/

If you meant something else, please clarify.
