Say you see a player on War.

    (Hard to do, I know)

So, you play with them for a while.

    And notice they nuke often.

Just like anyone else would, you /profile them.

And see their KDR is something like, say, 2.0 because of how bad they were months, even years, ago.

So do you judge them by KDR or how they Nuke.

*I think it should be Nukes, mainly because my KDR sucks*

Sidenote: I'm really frustrated that, from my days as a scroob, my KDR is really bogged down. It takes approximately the same time for me to improve my kdr by 0.01 and for War to update. Which, BTW, is a pretty long time. There should be a way to clear your kills and deaths, and start over. Just a thought. :stuck_out_tongue:

I would judge them by the number of nukes they have because:

1.) Nukes determine kdr, the more nukes you have the better kdr you have. So if their kdr sucks and they're nuking often, it'll probably go up.
2.) A good KDR can easily be obtained through buying donor weapons.

It all depends on how you nuke and how you got your current kdr.

KDR does stand for Kill-Death-Ratio, which basically averages out your kills and deaths from each game you played. Because of what this is, it is very often looked at to judge how good you are. Since nukes contribute highly to the amount of kills you get, the number of nukes MAY contribute to raising your KDR. It's not always the case. You can have large amounts of nukes, yet have a lower KDR.
If anything, I would judge on how often they nuke.

say your current kills are 10,000 and deaths are 5,000. Everytime you want to check your kdr just subtract your current kills and deaths from those whenever you want to see your new kdr.

Neither, they're both dumb reasons to judge.
I would judge them by their KDR times Kills.

I don't judge based on either. Nukes and KDR can just come from camping. I play them in a game, check out their play style, and THEN make my judgement after I know how they play.

I would say that it depends how much they have dotated, then I would judge how good they are.

KDR is easy with the doners hard and are hard as a 'scroob' but KDR doesn't matter just play have fun and try to nuke some times. I would say nukes and KDR are equally important cause KDR shows how much you sucked in the past and how hard it takes for you to improve while nukes depend on average skill or effort you put most of the time. Just remember its known as Kill-Death-Ratio for a reason and you respect its number so don't listen to those guys who judge by KDR all of the time.

In my opinion the KDR is better. Remember that if they do have a good KDR that means they were good when they first started. Example melting angel has twice as many kills as me but less deaths them me. This proves he was skilled from the start. I also think you should add a poll to this.

I judge a player on how they use bad weapons
Or use ok weapons against op weapons
Or if they nuke every single round with a sniper ._.

Don't worry about your stats, they don't matter.

Your stats are VERY important! Your KDR marks how long you have been skilled, your kills should show your skill (and maybe how much you have donated), your deaths can also mark skill depending on how few there are.

KDR means nothing unless you're a uber try hard or a player who strives to be better in any way possible.
A truly skilled player will be able to launch nukes and/or get a high KDR with the lower tiered weapons.

Dude, u must be one of those "elite clan" people if stats are so important to you. You don't need to rake up your kills to show ur skill. Skill is just how good you are. I don't think meltingangel or mebmatt exactly got bunch of kills just to show their skill. If you play this game just to show your skill to get into "elite" clans, you will either considered a "elite" or a complete dbag. Just play for fun, you don't need to show off to anyone.

Neither, because both factors don't determine skill. Tons of nukes can be achieved by Crossbow camping while boosting can be achieved by Ray-gunning in Infect.

I judge people on who they are and how they act, if it is a kid nuking 20 times a day and as no respect for anybody then I won't respect this guy.

^^ Yes, there is definitely good ways to tell who is skilled. Imo, nuke or KDR don't matter a ton as firestar said. Probably the best way to judge someones skill is just watch how they play and with what. Getting a good score with skully, not bad. Getting the same score reliably or even better with most any weapon you use. Getting good scores on the weapons mentioned previously, that is what makes someone skilled to me. Emps and nukes are definitely good to get, but having games like 54-7 or even 34-5 in TDM. . .that is a skilled player right there if they can do stuff like that reliably. Being able to take down people and live, that is where the emps and nukes come from. (Ignoring tings like super armor cbow spam or other methods of score boosting)

In the end, if you didn't notice, the reliability to do well with any weapon is what I consider to be the judgement of skill.

Having fun is the most important thing. If you find playing for stats fun, thats ok. Just dont let playing for stats affect your behaviour. And DONT get arrogant because of your stats. Stats say nothing about skill because its basicly : spam/camp with OP weapons. As for me and most other people on the forums, we dont care too much about stats if you get what we mean. And Il NEVER judge anyone based of stats or skill, but how they are as a person.

On topic: both nukes and good KDR can be gained by using OP weapons so I dont judge them on that.
