Well it could give the new players a chance to get good gear and the old players to keep their gear.

 

sorry but i dont think this'll work, you see if all the old players stuck to the new map then they would dominate that one map, and if the 2nd map came no one would probably ACTUALLY play on it due to the lack of potential people (if yknow what i mean) on the server therefore they will all cluster on 1 server only. also about the enderchest idea, i believe everyone should be able to transfer some items to the next map, such as an enderchest filled, but as for the donors i believe they should get a BIT more space, i mean hey donators need their perks right?

 

Yeah a second server isn't possible I talked to Putty.

 

Its simply the fact that a second server would be pointless donation-wise. The one PvP Survival Server has 200 slots and is never full, so making a second one would cost more money and change nothing.

Actually I am for a full reset. Putty made clear we won't be allowed to take anything and I'm somewhat fine with that. Just warn us one week before the reset so we can do all those giant partys.

 

A full reset is what I was thinking. Giant iron, gold, and diamond block houses at spawn anyone?

 

I'm up for that.
I got 20 stacks goldblocks, 10 stacks iron blocks, 1 stack emerald blocks and 4 stacks diamond blocks ready.

 

Full reset sounds great, put everyone back on an even playing ground. If not then I could see powerful teams/players with prot 4 gear killing other players who try to restart or get out of spawn with all their stuff. This allows less successful teams to be on the same ground as everyone else and we won't have the same ridiculous wealth differences to start out with.
What I would like to see though is the ability to reserve a team name in the new update as well as a better team ally system because the current one (the one that doesn't exist" allows a lot of betrayal and backstabbing.

 

Yeah but keep in mind the players that have worked hard to get all of their current gear will just have it stripped without any chance to keep it.

 

It's impossible to create a system without betrayal and backstabbing.

 

Well if the map resets I will probably quit and play mc-war for a few months. It will take about 2 months for bases to become raidable (people need to collect resources). Big teams destroy little teams, that's how life is. It would be even for a day until some kid gets diamond gear.

 

Well thats the point of the reset, if not everything maybe you can keep all your gold, or a specific number of items.

 

I'm going to do that too. I think the whole team should quit for around 2 months then all restart with a huge raiding session.

 

It kind of breaks it and doesn't break it in a way.

It lets you transfer items by paying which could be looked at as an advantage. But it also could be seen as something that doesn't really matter in some cases.

 

So when is the new map comming? also is it 100% sure that players are not allowed to transfer anything?

 

I'm confident that we will not be able to bring over any items and that the new map will arrive in around 2 months.

Seeing as I am now getting really into PVP, I am kind of torn about resetting the map. I have only been playing for a few days, but I already have some really good stuff, and I don't want to loose it.

I think that is the main deciding factor for most of the PVP players, as many of them have been playing for months and have tons of stuff that they might not want to leave behind. Why not enable enderchests on the server, so that the stuff that people want carried across can be done. If I was able to keep some of my stuff, then I would be a lot more inclined to want to reset the map.

 

I have decided to change my Yes answer to no. 1 thing is that I would be pissed to lose my stuff and zap's potions ( doesn't have any for me now ) 2nd thing is that if you go to spawn, 3/4ths of the people there are noobs and don't do anything.


Basically the reset just makes us old players lose our stuff and make us earn it again while the noobs don't do anything again.

P.S. How hard is it to make a base? We have plenty of space left!?!?!?

 

I dont think it is the space, I think it is they want to integrate the new features of 1.8 into the map.

Also, I am as stated before torn by this reset as well.

 

Its also the fact that you can hardly get very good cause there are a few OP teams who will raid and / or kill you before you become really good.
