    Introduction:

    Herro, fellow brawlers! Recently, I had a chance to play Borderlands 2 (It was free for 48 hours on steam :v), and it was fun. The game mechanics felt unique, and it was a fun title. At the same time, I had an idea for a RPG type of server, but you see, there are a couple of RPG servers already. So, my idea is - Let's mix up RPG, MMO and twist it up with guns. I have never seen any Minecraft servers with such a twist, and I think we can combine it all up. Also, we could feature different "AI/NPC characters and places named after them.


    Wat do:

    The server would basically be a massive structure, with multiple areas and towns to head to. Theme could be pretty simple - something between post-apocalyptic and a bit of Borderlands. The map would consist multiple areas - a desert area, with a ton of rubbish, a snow area, like a glacier but with ships frozen-in-ice, a mountainous area, like a gorge, with smaller towns located at the bottom. Obviously, we could make some really custom-up biomes with unique features. This would make an exploration more interesting, rather than just looting up like WarZ.

    Second off, we could have this First-one-to-loot system, where the loot would only appear when the server restarts. Loot would be always inside chests, and depending on the tier (1-3), it would have different items.

    T1 chest - small chest, only spawns ammo, grenades. No guns 4 u.
    T2 chest - double chest, spawns armor, maps, valuable items, supplies (ammo, etc.).
    T3 chest "Weapon crate" spawns a weapon that can be obtained not depending on the character.


    PvP:

    Yes, PvP is back! You will be able to PvP in special "War zones", where no dungeons are located at. There could be 2 PvP areas: Signatured's Pen Factory (an urban-type of factory) and PistolParrot's badlands. Both of these areas would be 240x240 blocks large, with markings and warnings indicating that it is the PvP zone. PvPing with other players will give you 20§ (the money) per kill and 20 exp. However, it is not as much, considering the fact that once you are inside the PvP area, you can't leave it. Joking, you can warp out back to the safe zone as there are 2 teleportation terminals.


    Character Classes:

    As any MMO/RPG game, you can choose your class. The server would feature 5 different classes; The Crafter, The Rusher, The Scout, The Assassin and The Tank. Each one of these classes would have different benefits.

    The Crafter would have increased weapon damage and decreased recoil, but he has the lowest health.
    Special ability: Multiplier. Once used, your damage will increase by 0.5 hearts every time you hit an enemy.
    Lasts 15 seconds. Recharge time: 45 seconds.


    The Rusher would have increased speed and mobility. This class would be equipped with Speed 1 effect and decreased Weapon recoil. You would also move faster while aiming down sights.
    Special ability: The Titan. When used, you would get Resistance 5, Regeneration 3, but you would be slowed down to slowness 2.
    Lasts 10 seconds, slowness stays for 12. Recharge time: 1 minute.


    The Scout would have highest accuracy in the game and hip-fire accuracy has a 75% chance to be where the crosshair is aimed at. Health would be in the middle.
    Special ability: Run 'n' gun. The fire rate of your weapons is doubled, you have no move penalty while aiming down sights and your hip-fire accuracy is 100%.
    Lasts 12 seconds. Recharge time: 55 seconds.


    The Assassin be your go-to stealth class. Your weapons deal 45% more damage when attacking an enemy from behind and your footsteps can not be heard (yes, the footsteps would be loud as heck). Melee damage would be doubled when attacking with melee from behind. He would also regain 1 heart from every kill he/she gets.
    Special Ability: Cloak. You completely vanish for 25 seconds, allowing for you to run away or do something else. Recharge time: 1 minute and 30 seconds.


    The Tank is the guy who can take the most damage. His health bar consists total of 40 HP, and he is a monster. However, he can not sprint, only walk.
    Special Ability: The Shield. you would create a 2 blocks high and 2 blocks wide wall made out of obsidian. However, it would last 22 seconds and each block "has" 30 health points. Once it is taking damage, a breaking animation would appear.

    NOTE: All of these classes are balanced :3


    Guns:

    The server would have a total of around 20 custom weapons, each one with a specific name and it's own unique design. I'll list down some of my ideas.

    Fires explosive rounds causing small splash damage when hit a player. Deals 3.5 hearts to an enemy with no armor/resistance. Special: small splash particles deal 0.5 hearts bonus damage if the bullet doesn't hit the target.
    Rounds in 1 mag: 35.
    Reload speed: 4 seconds.
    Fire rate: 400 RPM.
    Headshot damage to unarmored target: 4.5 hearts.
    Base hip-fire accuracy: basic sniper hip-fire accuracy.
    Aimed down sights accuracy: Same as Lemantation.
    Range: 75 blocks. Damage drop-off by 0.5 hearts every 15 blocks.
    Ammunition: Tracer Hybrid rounds (only used for few shotguns, a sniper and this AR).
    Character Level: 5

    Fires a single slug, which will be more lethal at longer ranges. This shotgun is not pump-action, it is semi-automatic. Deals 5 hearts of damage.
    Rounds in mag: 8 slug rounds.
    Reload speed: Loading rounds in 4 seconds.
    Fire rate: 120 RPM.
    Headshot damage to unarmored target: 7 hearts at close range (Under 20 blocks), 6 at above 20.
    Base hip-fire accuracy: 45% chance, a bit of a spread.
    ADS accuracy: 100%
    Range: 60 blocks. Damage drop-off is -0.5 hearts every 20 blocks.
    Ammunition: Slug rounds (Used by 2 shotguns and a LMG).
    Character level: 8

    A sniper rifle, fires 2-round burst. Every bullet does 4 hearts of damage to an unarmored target.
    Rounds in mag: 12 bullets.
    Reload speed: 6 seconds.
    Fire rate: 200 RPM
    Headshot damage: 5 hearts
    Base hip-fire: same is Mc-War's snipers have :v
    ADS accuracy: 100%
    Range: 100 blocks. Damage drops off to 3.5 hearts after 50, headshot drops off to 4.5 hearts.
    Ammunition: Magnum rounds
    Character level: 11


    Ammunition doe?

    Basically, there could be different types of ammunition. Perhaps, you could add a tooltip for each weapon, saying these things:

    -Class
    -Ammunition

    KSVK-2Nm
    Sniper
    Uses Magnum rounds.

    Weapon list:

    4 Assault Rifles. (AK47 - Mod21k), (Marauder AR), (F2000-G3), (Maverick-SCR)
    4 Sniper-type weapons. (KSVK-2Nm), (Barrett Mod .35), (M-SCR), (SirenXN)
    3 shotguns. (KSG-1337), (Blaze Prototype MK2), (Charger N2)
    3 LMG class weapons. (Hellhound LMG), (Spitfire MK249), (RDPK)
    A flamethrower (More powerful :smile: )
    The M134-A Volcano (a weapon with spin-up time.)
    Raging bull EN7 (most powerful sidearm)
    2 Pistols. (93Rb2), (M4SS)
    ARnX (Rocket launcher)

    Ammunition list:

    Magnum, most powerful ammunition out there. It is used with KSVK-2Nm, Raging Bull EN7 and Marauder AR. It looks like shotgun rounds, except for the fact that it is colored dark red and has the bullet colored golden (Probs like Python).

    Slug rounds, used by 2 of the shotguns and by Hellhound LMG. The texture could look like multiple bullets loaded into a magazine with transparent sides, allowing us to see the slugs.

    Hybrid Tracer rounds are used by Ak47 - Mod21k and by a couple of other guns. This ammunition unique with the fact that when it hits something, it will cause splash damage, dealing +0.5 hearts bonus damage, if the target has been hit. Texture version looks like a box-magazine with a band around it.

    Assault ammo is the most commonly found ammunition, it is used by the most of the automatic weapons in the game. It does not have any special effects.

    Shotgun ammo would pretty much look the same, except 32x32 :V

    Sniper rounds would be these small box-type of magazines with bullets loaded in them.

    ARnX rocket launcher will use special rockets with a great flyspeed and medium damage.

    Lastly, pistols are going to have their own ammunition, small magazines.


    Equipment:

    The equipment itself is kinda self-explanatory. First, you will have grenades. There could be 3 different types of them. First off, the gas bomb. It would create a cloud full of green particles, once you enter you would suffer wither effect. The size would be 4x4 and it lasts for 12 seconds.
    Next off, we would have the normal M67 HE grenades. They would have 2 second fuse and they would deal 5 hearts of damage.
    Lastly, the EMP bombs. They can be throw, and in a 5x5 area it would disable a ton of things. Firstly, your weapons would be set to "reload", next off, you would take 0.5 hearts of damage, lastly, your vision of name tags would be disrupted. Also, your armor does not protect you anymore. More useful in PvP, I guess. Also, it lasts for 8 seconds.


    Armor:

    The armor is the main thing that protects you, but remember, EMP bombs can knock it all out.
    We could have different types of armor:

    1) Bandit set (leather), consists a suit in desert/urban camouflage. You start with it.
    2) Raider's Protective Set (gold), would be snow camouflage armor with a tactical vest and a helmet.
    3) WRG's Combat set (chain), which would look like a badass desert came armor. It would have these sleeves, a vest and pretty nice boots :V
    4) Titan's armor (iron), would look like an iron suit with a gas mask. Maybe exo-ish.
    5) Exoskeleton (diamond), would look like this desert-ish armor, except for the fact that you would have these steel pipes and stuff like that attached to your arms and legs.


    Shields:

    "Shield" is a new mechanic, which basically provides you with extra absorption hearts, you would be able to find 4 different shields:

    1) Tier 1 shield: Gives you Resistance 1 and 3 hearts of absorption once equipped. Hearts do regenerate with it.
    2) Tier 2 shield: Gives you 6 hearts of absorption and regeneration 2.
    3) Tier 3 shield: Gives you 7 hearts of absorption.
    4) Tier 4 shield: Regeneration 2 (permanent)

    Shields can be found in any of the loot crates, starting from T1. They are extremely rare and spawn only 2 of each kind per restart. Each one of them lasts for 3 minutes except for T4. In order to activate one, you must right-click sneak with it for 2 seconds.


    Medicine:

    Basically, you could have your own li'l system of 2 different things.

    First off, the combat stims. They will increase your accuracy by 50%, give you extra regeneration and give you speed 1 (If you don't already have one). They can be found in T2+ loot crates, spawning 10 per restart. This would last for 1 minutes and using it gives you nausea 1 for 2 seconds.

    Second off, the medkits. Depending on their level (1-10), they will heal that amount of hearts. Essentially, they spawn 30 per restart and can be found in random areas.

    Basically, T for Towns. D for Dungeons, X for PvP areas and Green = safe zone.
    Dungeons would have 3 difficulty levels - yellow (eZ), orange (medium), red (hardcore).
    Every dungeon would have a boss unit, dungeons would be these different locations, like ships frozen in ice, large nuclear dumping caves, etc. The sky is the limit.

    Dungeons

    All of the dungeons would have a minimum of 5 loot crates.
    Total of 1000 loot crates would spawn, in the towns and in the dungeons. 700 T1 chests, 200 T2 and 100 T3 chests. The chest spawning system would be randomized, meaning that the chest has a great 66.6% chance to change the tier.


    Skills:

    At the same time, we would have a level system. Leveling up would allow for you to choose and upgrade 3 unique skills, not depending on who you are.
    There would be 3 skills:

    1) Support.
    This skill would allow for you to help out your teammates.

    2) Combat.
    This skill would increase your abilities, dealing more damage, etc.

    3) Character.
    This skill would increase overall stats like agility, strength, etc.


    Melee Weaponry:

    Melee combat would part of the game, often to conserve ammo or for anything else. We would have a couple of different melee weapons.

    1) Pocket Knife - it would be probably the weakest melee weapon out there, however, once you hit an enemy, he will have the "wither" effect for 3 seconds. (Wooden Sword)

    2) Fire Katana - this weapon is known as a sharp, deadly and menacing thing. Once you hit someone with it, he/she will be set on fire for 6 seconds. (Golden Sword)

    3) Swiss Knife - once it would be right-clicked, it would give you regen II effect for 6 seconds, the cooldown lasts 10 seconds. Useful to heal yourself during combat while your friends keep battling the hostiles. (Stone Sword)

    4) Energy Blade - it basically reduces all damage, once held right-clicked you only can take damage from other melee weapons. (Iron Sword) NOTE: Spawns 1 per restart.

    5) Deadly Axe - this one is a fairly basic weapon with nothing much added to it, except for knockback 2, allowing for evasive combat. (Diamond Sword) NOTE: Spawns 3 per restart


    Spawns:

    All of the beginners would spawn into a special city titled "Acheron", a city with high walls around it. For the structure of it, we could use some of the brand new 1.8 blocks, to make this "Steampunk-ish" feel to it. The area itself would feature 2 different weapon stores (Expensive, good guns and bad, cheap guns) along with a few smaller stores that sell different equipment ranging from basic armor to different gadgets (Being written about) that have interesting effects. At the same time, there would be a few houses and some stores. However, people with a donation rank would have a 50% chance to spawn into a better area.


    The dungeon behind the spawn would be a hardcore-type of a dungeon, which would take a lot of courage to complete. It would be a crash site of a gigantic flying ship, with around 30 chests around the area. However, it would spawn level 20 enemies, meaning that even taking them out is a pain in the arse.


    Enemies:

    The enemies in the server would be both eZ and difficult.

    Bandit would be a melee-type of an enemy. He would be equipped with a knife and a bit of leather armor (randomized). Bandits would have total of 30 hp, making them a bit tougher of an enemy. However, they don't move that fast, so you can take them out.
    (Mob: Zombie with increased health, speed+weapon)
    LVL 5 - T2 armor
    LVL 10 - Extra Damage
    LVL 15 - T3 armor
    LVL 20 - Faster health regen.

    Hunter would be a ranged-attack enemy with low health, but a great damage output. He would have a battle rifle (3.5 hearts to legs, arms, 4.0 to head/chest) along with a bit of T1 armor (leggings, helmet or both) Hunter would be extremely weak at CQB, but he would be lethal at range.
    (Mob: Skeleton with increased health, bow and a bit o' armor.
    LVL 5 - Extra damage
    LVL 10 - T2 armor.
    LVL 20 - 9.5 hearts of damage to an unarmored target.

    A psycho would be that "ooh kill 'em" type of an enemy. He would come with a katana and a great amount of speed. Deadly at melee, but has low HP.
    (Mob: Wither skelleh, speed 2 and melee attack is OP)
    LVL 20 - 10 hearts of damage to an unarmored target.

    Don't think a RPG with guns is that good of an idea, especially since it's in Minecraft. It also seems similar to WarZ save for different ways to loot and PvP zones.

    I would also love to see this, its just to much WarZ (looting, weapons etc)

    It only took me 10 hours to do it.

    Anyway, thanks for the feedback, everyone! I promise to add structures and more stuff once I wake up.

    Maybe add in NPC side quests like in the legit Borderlands, and make sure to make the maps super funky and messed up like in BL2 xD

    If you are not in a pvp area will you still get attacked by npcs?

    Yes, but only by a small amount of NPCs (unless you enter a dungeon/designated area).
