War Staff - What we do

    War Staff - What we do
    Recently there have been some posts about War staff not being spread out across the servers, some not doing their job, etc. This thread will tell you what we Mc-War staff do and why.​

    Hackers
    When War moderators are on we try our best to look for hackers, when we do know or have been notified that a hacker is online we tend to not speak chat. We do this because we don't want the player using the hacked client to know a staff member is online and watching, if he/she finds out we're online they will most likely turn off their hacked client(s) and bail.

    When we do know one is on we start to record in case we run into the hacker, however we do not need players alerting us saying, "There's a mod online, enjoy your ban!" We do not need this do to the fact it blows our cover. If you do run into a hacker just record the player using the hacked client and report them.
    Please keep in mind moderators cannot ban players, only SMod plus however when you report a player the form goes straight to @Giggadream or an Admin.

    Threats & Spammers
    Most moderators will warn the player not to spam in either public chat or an msg, if you see a spammer and you don't see a moderator warn or stop him/her but you know a mod is online. The player might have been warned in a msg.

    Now if it is a threat such as a DDoS or DOX, etc we will automatically be taken care of it without warning. Once again, if you run into a player doing this please take a screenshot and report him/her, don't come after one of us. It saves us a lot of time.

    Bypassing Blocked Words
    When a player is bypassing blocked words a moderator will warn the player and tell him/her to stop via msg. If the player doesn't stop bypassing a moderator will mute/kick the player for a certain amount of time based on what words they're bypassing. Most mods will most likely mute/kick a player for 5-10 minutes depending on if the player is bypassing curse words or bypassing the words and spamming them.

    Glitchers
    These rule breakers will also most likely be warned or punished via msg. If it is a well know hacker with repeated offenses, he/she will be punished and reported. If you do run into a glicther, please take a screenshot or recording of the glicther and report it.

    As for the mappers, these will be taken like this: Mod: "Please come back into the map or use /spawn (username)" If the player doesn't come back into the map or use /spawn after this warning they will be kicked or "Out of the map" or "Please stay in the map next time."

    Note: When a few moderators are on one server at the same time they maybe playing some war together and having some fun. However if one mod is online moderating and another logs on one of them will move to another number.

    I think that this was a great thing for the Brawl staff to do. I always see lots of players in game and also on the forums complaining constantly about the staff, when you are doing your job just fine. Another thing to add could be to do with the forums and also Teamspeak.

    I think you should add to the hackers section that MODS CANNOT BAN FOR HACKS.
    Not normal mods, at least.
    This very problem occurred to me yesterday, I was playing on War with a hacker (He was hacking, I saw what he was doing :v) and 5+ people messaged me "Ban him he's hacking can't you see are you blind"

    Nice thread and good guide, I can see that you put lots of work into it but I do know for a fact that a lot of this stuff was said to you by @XxIronRavenxX . I'm not saying this wasn't you, I admire the effort you put into it but at least give some credit to him :v

    Players should know what the staff do. Plenty of threads and comments have stated this.
    You say moderators record players using hacked clients, which I believe. How about a place to show off every moderator's video proof. That way players can actually see the follow through.

    Jayden mods need to pay more attention to glitching. B_E_A_S_T_L_Y for example has glitched more than everyone, and yet he hasn't been banned. There needs to be more attention paid to who glitches if your going to have that rule.

    If we see a glitcher, we warn/punish him rightaway. But we can't be on every server 24/7, so if you see someone glitching, take a screenshot and send it to a Mod on Teamspeak or Forums.

    Now that my computer stopped derping, I can actually upload images on the report page. I rarely see mods on (probably because of time zones) so I try and keep the servers organized.

    I have seen B_E_A_S_T_L_Y on war servers a lot recently (he is on the ones with lots of players such as 5) and when we play infect, if there is a OOM spot on that map then he goes OOM, I try not to go OOM and I can't stay alive long enough to screen him

    Also he is mostly on at 10pm-4am

    Well.. As one of the people who was saying that the mods werent doing their job I regret to say that all this has shown me is what you guys do when you're in your favorite servers. I don't know weither or not you guys are just migrating when I'm not online but the only mod I've seen in game was Phantamanta44, that was when I asked him via teamspeak if he wanted to get on a specific server. That was almost a month ago. Yes. I havent seen an active (in game) moderator in over a month. I think I have good reason to be a bit... Well.. Negative.
    But on the other end of this I want to thank you for explaining to me again what you do to protect the players. The only thing I'm complaining about is the fact that I don't see you guys off servers 1-3 and that could just be my fault.

    A place for report vids could start flame wars, that is why it is private.

    I will try and keep an eye on him once i see him.


    That is most likely timezones as most of the time there is a mod on 1 and 2.

    No, that's what I was saying. The mods dont (seem) to migrate servers at all. Primarily they stay in the servers they like (1-3 mostly)
