Raise maximum file size for profile pictures

    So I just changed my profile picture and as always I had problems with the size of my picture.
    The maximum file size allowed is 50 Kilobyte but the suggested minimum picture size is 200 p x 200 p. And that doesn't work together very well. When I put my picture on 200 x 200 it still had 100 KB, way to much.

    So my idea would be to to raise the max file size to 100 or 200 KB. I don't think that will take to much space on the hard drives, but it would allow us to have profile pictures with a higher definition.

    I agree fully; I have to use JPG images instead of high quality PNG images. Quite annoying.
    And yes, use JPG instead of PNG.

    50KB is already really generous. If there are 20 avatars on a page, that's already 1MB of data being sent to your browser.
    If we allowed 200KB avatar sizes that would be 4MB of data, which is a ton for a webpage.

    As Brawler said, save it as a high quality JPG or compress the PNG before uploading.

    As you can see, the image is still huge and the size is massively decreased while it maintained it's quality.
