    I have heard the reason Windows bought Minecraft is that most kids don't know what windows are. unlike me I use microsoft all the time :smile:. So I want to know, did u know what Microsoft was before they bought minecraft?

    I believe EVERYONE who uses a computer has heard the word Microsoft atleast....

    And Microsoft wouldn't spend 2.5 Billion Dollars on a game, only so children know who they are.

    Hmm, that's a tough one. not . Skype, Windows, Bing, all the Xbox consoles, all the Halo games, all their tablets, and all the software that they released (Microsoft Office, Security Essentials ect...).

    I actually read the same thing in an article, that Microsoft wants to appeal to the younger "hip" community. I guess they think they're going to make their money back somehow. We'll see how they plan to do it :wink:

    Its not that they want to get their name out to kids, it is that they want to build a strong younger fan base for the company.
