As I said before, I have been playing since as long as I can remember, but even still, I was still not PRO levels, which includes all the fancy advanced techniques of Melee that I can pull of decently well into matches. However, my biggest boost in skill came from playing endless amount of Brawl online matches. From about July of 2011 to May of 2014 (When Nintendo WiFi discontinued), that was my life pretty much. Playing games every day, having about 1.5 SD card full of replays of me winning online. Even though "brawl 4 newbzzzz" is still sort of true, it still taught me a bunch of things.

First things first, this tip, probably the most important, applies to any kind of gaming on a competitive level: Know EVERYTHING about your opponent and how to counter it. Of course, this can only go so far, as not only should you know eery fighter's abilities as well as your own, but knowing the playstyle of your opponent as well can also give you an advantage. The thing about Smash is, it is an adaptive fighting game. There are no set combos. You have to make up all your decisions on the spot most of the time.

well then Majora_Jora you sure have it all figured out don't you I on the other hand am totally ad completely different, I never have memorized any moves that my character knows I like to improvise. I use mostly melee attacks because they usually do the most damage but if it's necessary I like to snipe people out. I take n remorse when it comes to smash but I've always used link. I have no idea why but he's always been the best for me. I've only ever lost six matches in my life time, either playing it on the game cube or now on the 3DS. I'm unpredictable because I never do the same thing twice and that's what helps me win. I also do the same in chess and I've only ever lose eleven chess matches in the last nine years. But it doesn't matter how we fight, you can take these tips and use them all you want but you'll never be a great fighter if you done use your own fighting style. Hope this helped "-"

 

I actually can't play SSB because my mom thinks that it is teaching us satanism and it is violent.

Ganon's flame choke, followed by his wavedash, followed by an up-smash, followed by either a forward air smash at high% or recovery move at low%. I almost never manage to get the full combo :v

Then with Samus, use a down-smash to hitstun them, then use some other high-power move while they're stunned. And always use down-b for recovery because tether sucks.

Playing as Game&Watch, spam forward-b and gorward-smash until somebody dies.

 

Spam the b button with Meta Knight.

*Isn't allowed to play Smash Bros because of violence; plays on a Minecraft server revolving around guns and shooting*
