    Trackers need more flexibility!

    Basic layout of tracker:
    Base Block: Maximum possible range
    Arms: Tracking range
    Arm Caps: Tracking modifiers

    Possible Base Blocks
    Material : Maximum track range
    Lapis : 500
    Obsidian : 750
    Gold : 1500
    Diamond : 8000
    Emerald : Infinite

    Possible Arm Blocks
    Material : Range per Block
    Cobble : 5
    End Stone : 10
    Redstone: 20
    Lapis : 20
    Obsidian : 30
    Iron : 50

    Possible Caps
    Material : Effects
    Stone : Temporary tracker
    Glass : 0.5x range multiplier
    Lapis : 0.75x range multiplier
    Gold : Standard tracker
    Diamond : Can also track NE, SE, SW, NW
    Emerald : 1.2x range multiplier
    Nether Brick : Tracks true nether coords at the cost of x0.5 range
    Enchantment Table: Instead of telling a direction, it tells how many blocks away a player is

    This explanation is kinda confusing, but I agree that trackers could use a little bit more flexibility :smile:

    I think I get the general idea of it, but I would probably have to actually test it in-game and try to figure out the mechanics of it.

    But it sounds cool, with different blocks having different values, instead of just the iron or obsidian tracker.

    Basically, the thread defines various block types you can use to build each part of the tracker, in order to attain a particular range or effect. The blocks themselves are arranged like a standard tracker, with the centre block in the middle, arms extending outwards, and caps at the end of each arm.

    I like the enchantment table modifier because it adds a more advanced math element and the requirement of 2 trackers in exchange for somewhat easier tracking.

    I like this idea but again find it kind of confusing.

    One more question, what do you mean by tracking effects/material?

    Each material provides a different tracking effect.
