Saving up for a better computer than the mac I am currently using. Are these good specs?

    Intel Core i5 Processor
Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti Graphics
    16GB 1600MHz Memory
    1TB Hard Drive
    Windows 8.1

I am thinking about getting 16GB of RAM because I am also getting into graphic design/GFX and video editing so I want to have enough speed to run software like cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects at a comfortable speed while still gaming in there sometimes. Please leave feedback on the computer specs, I am currently thinking about buying from ironside computers: http://ironsidecomputers.com/ at the moment, they have good prices but if anyone has any suggestions I am open to ideas. Thanks! - minerock92

Don't get one now. The i8 is coming out in January 2015. Save up for that one instead of an i5 processor, that's my suggestion. Anyways the gra[hics specs are good, the processor is OK. It totally depends on how long you want your computer to last. The newest ASUS will last for 4-5 years. Maybe save up for the i8 processor laptop.
If you want a PC. Then don't be lazy. Build a custom one like I did. It will run minecraft at about 300 fps with an i5 processor. It costed me about $866 USD. I'd build mine if I were you. If you need help ask your dad to help.
    That's all from me,
    Good Luck with your choice!

Hello, minerock, hello, thread (and the thread).
I think that Windows 1.8 option can be suitable for gaming on mc-war. As...of course, its not laggy. So thats why I think thats a good option.:grinning:

Thanks for the input! Your right about the building it part but it don't think I'll wait for i8 to come out though.

I wouldn't wait for i8. When it comes out, it'll probably be overpriced. Besides, who wants to wait until January.

Anyways, I'd go with AMD to be honest. It will require more research, but is defiantly better in the end. If you're going budget, AMD all the way.

I agree with @qqmaster1 , the i8 will be overpriced, and you should go for an amd if you are on a budget, maybe even if you aren't, as you could get a cheap athlon or fx proccessor then get an amazing graphics card
