Idea Supply Drops

Here's a better suggestion - put server ideas in the server idea sub forum of said server.
Just saying :v

This would take away the aspect of vanilla. It's already being stretched as is.
FpsHG already has supply drops, and personally I think FpsHG or War are good for supply drops, but not a semi vanilla survival server.

 

To be honest. I freaking love it! Survival PvP is really sluggish. There isn't that much PvP in it anymore. People say "keep it vanilla" if what we are getting is vanilla ITS BORING!

By adding one of these a day at a random time it will create a Pvp event itself. Everyone will be rushing to it battling it out to be the first one there. Big team battles to get the loot first! It would be great. I really hope this gets added.

I also like this idea. To be honest, there are definitely some slow times of PvP every day when nothing is really happening.
Maybe there could be like a daily semi-event with random chest spawns, etc. near spawn or in an arena or something like the maze.

Its something really unique, and I just love it.

 

Why can't it be? You never play it why would you care?

 

I like the idea, as stated above, PvP Survival can be boring sometimes and this could be a lot of fun.

I personally don't like this idea. A couple friends and I talked about this and one of us said what if the coordinates happened to be on a base or vault. I don't think that would be fair to the player who's base that was. Also with all the raiding and tracking this would take even further away from the vanilla part of the server.

 

The coordinates would be chosen randomly I guess, so I don't see how it would be unfair if those coords are close to a players base. As soon as he sees that the supply drop is close, he should just not go there.

I agree that it makes the server less vanilla, but it would also make the server more interesting and enjoyable.

 

True true but not only the player going there, what if someone were to dig down or build up just seeing if there is something, that would be sort of unfair because the player wasn't tracked or at his base for someone to see him. It was just the luck or bad luck of the supply drop.

I don't think we need to care about that. That is like you build a new base/tracker/vault and find a base while doing that. Its bad luck for the person that owns the base you find, but it happens and I think nobody would say that is unfair.

And you are talking about someone digging down randomly, but how is this related to the supply drop? The chance of finding a base at randomized coordinates is similar to the chance of finding a base at any place on the map.

 

That is true but we could limit the chance of someone having bad luck by making the supply drop within 1500 blocks of spawn because I'm pretty confident people with an OP base wouldn't make it that close to spawn.

 

Tbh this is an amazing idea, Timg does raise a point with the chest might spawning on a vault/base, but i mean as everyone else said Pvp nowadays gets pretty dead. Soo with this, most best teams will be running to the cords with OP gear. making a huge fight, which would really make it alot more fun! Please add this, but with the base raiding, make it atleast 1500-2000 blocks away from spawn, Noobs fault if he ends up having a base around 1500 blocks. Please add this!
