    I see a lot of servers that have a new member message saying something like:

    ExamplePlayer1234 has joined the server for the first time!

    Or something along those lines. So why don't we have one? This idea was in fact inspired by an experience of mine back when I was a moderator in WarZ. Someone asked me to help them and tp to them so I did but they were in the Spawn and I was stuck there. So, while I was trying to get some teammates on to tp me out I noticed a few new players milling around the spawn, clearly lost. I helped explain the game to them then showed them how to get out. And every time a new player spawned in, I introduced myself and helped them around.

    So, if we have this message, every time there's a new player, if there's someone who cares enough then they can take the time to help them or even just say: Welcome to Brawl, use /tell my name if you need help.

    The only downsides are that it may spam the chat and some players may find it annoying. Maybe there could be a toggle to turn it on and off? That way people who want to help new players can do so, and people who don't won't be bothered by the messages.

    I thought the fun of the game was the game itself? o.0
    I bet you there are countless thousands of people who tried our servers once and never again because they didn't know how to play.

    What I mean is, only people on your server. If a new player joins via Hub and connects to my WarZ server, a message will come up in the chat on my WarZ server and that Hub server, but that's it. If it was global, chat would be filled with the messages.

    but there's so many new players on Mc Brawl it's impossible to help anyone plus the chat will get absolutely filled with ExamplePlayer1234 has joined the server for the first time!

    Please read through my message before you reply. What I said above is that you'll only get an alert if the person who's new connects to your server, it's not a global message.

    To help show my point, here's some stats

    There were approximately 61,000 new members who joined Brawl in total during the month of October. That comes down to about 2k a day. Spread this over 24 hours and you've got about 100 every hour. Spread this across all the servers and even if you're on the most crowded server you're unlikely to get more than 10 an hour, a perfectly reasonable rate.

    I personally think that this would be a great ideal especially for the staff so that they can help new players. On War, you can already see who is new if they talk in chat, they will have the 'PVT' prefix, but if they don't, then it would be very useful as everyone can try to help them as much as they can. It will especially be incredibly useful on server like WarZ, and if I put myself in my shoes back then, I would've really have liked someone to help me when I was playing for the first time.

    since it will be nice but we have too many new people coming in.
    more on i don't see anyone saying 'WELCOME TO THE SERVER!!!!!!'
    80% of the time i won't get greeted.

    Giggadream makes a good point though.
    Also, most of the people in the community are arrogant and wouldn't welcome newbies anyways. :L

    Yeah, why not. Newbies always need to be helped out. I remember when I joined a factions server, and no one showed me how to even get out of spawn :/ I just tought "fak dis shet", and left.

    alot of new players are joining mc brawl and if you do the math thats alot players with the chat saying ExamplePlayer1234 has joined the server for the first time! every time

    I like it. +1.
    We could always give it a trial run to see if it actually fits into brawl.
    Plus, there could always be some sort of /disable command.

    It only pops up if he joins YOUR specific server. If he joins war 12 for the first time, only people on war 12 will see that message..... Thats not a lot, 5-10 an hour mabye.
