Dying by "combat logging"

So the title says you love losing all your stuff to zombies. but the thread says you love dying because of combat logging?

I think it was sarcasm. By "This is just great" I think he meant the opposite.

It really sucks that you got kicked out of nowhere then lost your items because of it. If it happens again, I'd restart Minecraft, or just stop playing for a while, since something might be setting off the server and restarting might fix it.

 

So you are saying you get kicked after killing zombies? Try playing with a new .jar file. If that doesn't work, backup your entire minecraft file and get a new one. This solved a similar issue for me where I would get the same error as you every 5 minutes or so.

 

Ok. Let me explain. If you do not do /logout (which will take 10 seconds if an enemy is within compass tracing distance) it spawns a PVPlogger. It is a NPC that stands still and stays there for a few seconds. In that time it can die but zombies, other players and so on. If you got disconnected it would still spawn it and then the zombies would kill it. If you are experiencing connection lag I recommend not playing for this because it will get you combat logged. I hope this helped. Sorry about that...

 

I've had similar problems, This is why I usually play with friend or a team, it's best that way so if I do log in to "please do not abuse combat logging" I have some friends I can easily to back to, but seeing you're not a rank, try playing with a group of people using TeamSpeak or Skype, this will help you greatly if you die so your friend can save your loot and if you happen to see me in game, msg me I'll deliver some loot to you and make sure your on your way to killing these "nuisances"

That's interesting. I almost never use /logout and let a PvPLogger spawn because I'm lazy, and that's never happened to me...

I also log in much more times than 3 times every 5 minutes and I still don't get killed. :O

Zombies cannot harm PvPLoggers, only players.

 

I personally will always /logout. Then go get a beverage to celebrate my hard earned slaughter.

 

This thread is your second point but can you explain why it does since he doesn't log off at is own will ?

 

Any kind of disconnect that does not involve /logout spawns a PVPlogger.

 

Just /logout and don't relog several times back in.

 

I keep getting this Proxy **** aswell.

Yeah basically, I combat log randomly in fights and just get right back on and 2/3 times I combat log lol
