Complete Items Revamp

    Kits get boring, right? You play a few games, then you buy all the kits. You now have infinite credits and only a few kits/items to play with.

    What if, instead of kits, we used a loadout system similar to TF2's? You pick weapons, support items, and armour beforehand, and before that you need to collect the items.

    Let's look at the basic parameters:
    > Abolish old kit system.
    > Implement loadout system.
    > Replace old items with new, unique ones.
    > Items have unique buffs and nerfs to remain balanced.
    > Loadout slots for gun, sword, armour, and support.
    > Unlock new equipment by chance after winning a game.
    > After unlocked, a piece of equipment is owned permanently.
    > Buffs/nerfs can be applied with enchantments, attributes, potions, or server-side programming.
    That's all I have. Give some feedback below.

    I'm sure some changes would be made if this is considered, though I like this idea since it'd provide an interesting twist to FpsHG, making it more unique than other SG + guns servers.

    If you were to choose what guns you start with, that could be VERY OP if you could choose anything. Armour should be no more then full leather, and guns should be no more then tier 1. Other then that, I like this idea.
    I also think there could be a upgrade system to kits. :wink: +1

    EDIT: This will just end up with the people who started out with a lot of credits spawning in with the best gear and wrecking everyone, therefor only the people with a lot of credits will get credits. And removing all the items and kits is a very bad idea. -1

    I said, we're getting rid of all current items and replacing them with balanced items. I also said we're getting rid of kits entirely.

    Explain how removing the kits would be a bad idea. Frankly, it'd make FpsHG more unique (@LatiasGaming says we're a copy of SGRL). Because it's with balanced items, anyone can use the same loadout, thereby making it fair since you can have the same gear as an opponent.

    Well fpsHG and SGRL are now very different gamemodes since SGRL has Updated. Well, also the next update of SGRL is gonna make it again ALOT MORE different then fpsHG so people can no longer say "fpsHG is a copy of SGRL" But what I have to say about the main Idea, I'm still thinking that fpsHG stole SGRL because it was very suspicous that fpsHG had the same Kit Selector (Before it was Updated) almost the same Map selection, a Drop Off from the Sky and the Kit Description was almost the same (From the Design)

    But the items cost credits. And I'm not sure completely re making the game is something they would accept from the simple server ideas section.

    What, do you expect people to get free items? :v
    And it still doesn't change the fact that the items are balanced (for example, if an item has a buff on it, it will also have some other nerf).

    Then it's just going to be domination of the people with the most credits. They will spawn in with good stuff, and they will be the only ones to get credits. Therefor its a loop for them. No one else will get anything.

    It doesn't cost credits per round :I
    And what do you not get about "BALANCED"?
    BALANCED MEANS NOTHING IS OVERPOWERED

    Even if everything is balanced, there are a few issues. For instance, in most cases, assault rifles will beat sidearms because the sidearm is a secondary, and the assault rifle is a primary.
    I'd like to see more specifics.
    • How many weapons can you have in a kit (not counting melee)?
    • Would the same weapons remain, just rebalanced?
    • Would players be able to spawn with any weapon theoretically?
    • Would weapons remain decently realistic to their IRL counterparts?
    I do like this idea, since the WarZ tier system sucks IMO, but there are a few issues, which I believe I've pointed out.
    There should be limited weapon choices for kits to encourage scavenging. You shouldn't get a LMG or assault rifle right away, for instance. Rather, you should get SMGs, shotguns, or pistols.

    They aren't going t completely re-make the game like this thread is suggesting. What exactly will stay the same? They don't accept things like this. Whoever coded this game spent time on it. They aren't gong to erase the current code and start from scratch because it was suggested in the server ideas. This is an awful idea. The game is fine how it is and they don't need to re-create it.

    Just to let you know....
    Guns aren't coded. They can easily be edited using configuration.
    The only issue is minor balancing.

    This has been suggested before (making the minigun more rare). And that's the luck of it. A minigun doesn't guarantee you win or anything like that. The simplest mistakes or loss of focus will be the end of you even with full tier 4 and full D. The people yo find in DM's are the ones with skill, not the ones with the gear. (Or some guy who shifted in the 30 room of the 30th floor of one of the 30 giant buildings in Hg town and waited for DM)

    I think this would be a good addition. I would think there would be nerfs or debuffs if you had certain items in that loud-out to make it more fair.
