Idea An Remake to Horse Race

    In my opinion horse race depends on luck. 99% of time if you if you have a bad start. you finish with a bad place, Vice versa. Here are mine opinions on making horse race better.

    • For the map rainbow road, make the runway bigger. And for ghost town.
    • There should be pickup powerups you can find on the ground.
    • There should be secret shortcuts that can give you the lead
    • There should be in an invisible barrier like on the the gamemode "green light, red light" instead of a glass barrier.
    • There should be at least two laps minimum instead of one to make the game last a bit longer.

    1. When I made Banshee Boardwalk ( You called it Ghost town ) I tried to make it as accurate to my gaming system. I may make a different version of rainbow road after I build a few new maps, it will have a much longer start.

    2. Yes but the issue is we would have to take time to code that. I love that idea but its just more work on our coders.

    3. Big no. If there's secret shortcuts what happens if first place uses it? Simple he gets a bigger lead, as well people who know the maps best can use the same thing everytime to win every time.

    4. Our servers are still 1.7 we can't use these blocks until we are 100% 1.8. Maybe later we can do this for all games.

    5. Having more laps would be fun, but it would take more time so players wait longer. Maybe on small maps we can have 2 laps.

    I honestly think the power up thing would require a lot of work. Other then that I think this would be a good improvement for the game, as it would make it more tactical.

    Personally, I like horse racing and its features as it currently is. Its not too long, nor too short and some of the maps bring a good challenge. I think horse racing does not need a change and should remain the same.

    I think it would be cool if there could be a remake. But it really doesn't matter. But there are plenty of players that would be excited to hear of another map!

    "Banshee Boardwalk" was the name! I couldn't get out of my head, really good map btw. As for the shortcuts, I agree with you that you can get a bigger lead if you are already in first; a compromise would be make very short shortcuts to give you the edge in tight situations but there can be quite some controversy on that. Yeah, about using 1.8 blocks, I completely forgot that most servers aren't completely 1.8 yet, forgive me for that. There can be some quite controversy on this one too, people who love the gamemode may want more laps while people who join in/people who want to skip to next gamemode would want otherwises. Really appreciate the feedback!

    I agree with you there on powerups taking a long time to code. There being more important thing to code this could be a long while to be put into actual testing.
