So I got a Razer Naga for Christmas and it's really nice :grinning:! It has thumb buttons and everything. The thumb buttons are a little tricky to use though, it seems it's harder to combo and click the right button without accidentally clicking another button to switch slots. Here's my question, do you think I should hotkey using the normal numbers on my keyboard, or use the thumb buttons on my mouse?

    Thanks,
    Kwumsu

Use the buttons on your mouse, it's a lot easier. You just have to get used to it. I also recommend getting a /tpyes and /logout macro!

You kind of just admitted to possibly using macros. I would just stick with Your normal buttons seeing as using macros is against the rules:wink:

Those macros are allowed as long as they type in each individual letter.

As long as you don't use macros, it's fine with the mouse.

macros with a mouse is different from actual macros ( Combining multiple keys to one button, then sorta doing them all at once ) but macros like a side button to switch guns / switch to food is allowed. As Poaches said also get the /tpyes and /logout in with the key binds. Gl @poaches

I can't even macro because they added a delay to warz shooting between guns.

    *Cough Cough* You're welcome

But like dragon said, macros are allowed to switch to the gun in slot 2, slot 3, ect. But they cant be used to shoot guns or combo.

How is it related to macros if someone who can type 250 WPM can type /logout or /tpyes faster than someone can touch the specific button to type it.

@HoboGarbage used to use the buttons on his mouse to hotkey, and look how skilled he was/is.

I'm more comfortable with hot keying using my number keys, but I don't have a razer naga so I can't be sure if using the buttons on the mouse is better.

Try both and see what you feel more comfortable with, then make a decision.

I'm debating on getting a naga to replace my trusty old death adder, how would you rate the mouse response and button feedback?

Dude, forget all this fancy razor stuff, I use a $5 dell mouse, and I can easily combo (scrolling of course) and when I tried my brothers razor it was trash.

If you have ever played an actual first person shooter you'll know the value of a solid mouse

I've played lots of FPS games and I know how easy it is to use just a normal mouse, but I wanted to try something new and see if i like it

The buton feedback is probably a 10/10 it's extremely fast and right when you push down on the button it does what you want. It also has lots of other features like 2 small buttons underneath the scroll wheel, and it glows xD!
I would definetely get this mouse even if you don't use the thumb buttons.

Alright thanks. Ofc it depends on the game for a mouse, for example csgo is quite difficult with a cheap mouse that suffers acceleration issues, as I have found. Thanks for the feedback
