    McBrawl Moderator Application:

Are you active and helpful on our servers, forums, and Teamspeak? - I believe I am active all around. On the servers, I usually spend at least 3 hours online during the weekdays and a little bit more on the weekends. I divide my time up evenly on the servers so I am ready for G-Mod. I have an extensive knowledge of the servers which I use to help players. I always stay friendly and kind to the players and I always help them out when it comes to asking how to play a game or what “S-Mod” means. On the forums, I have gotten more than 700 helpful posts and I have gotten more than 350 positive ratings. I am a “addict” when it comes to checking new posts, checking my alerts and checking the staff applications. I usually have the forums open every time I am in Chrome whether on my laptop or on my phone. I am usually in public channel talking with people when it comes to Teamspeak. I sometimes join private channels like “Tim’s Channel” to have some private talks. When I play, I am usually on Teamspeak interacting with the other players having fun.

Approximately, how many rule breaker reports have you submitted? - I have submitted approximately 10 reports and have used the “report button” multiple times on the forums.

How old are you? - 14 years old and in the 9th grade

What time zone are you in? - Eastern Standard (EST)

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? - My first experience with Minecraft was in December of 2012. My brother downloaded the the game on my iPad without my permission. I was glad he did download it because I got very addicted to the game and started my own survival world. I memorized almost all of the blocks and the items and used it to make a giant survival world. In February 2013, I made my PC/Mac account ryanhascorn. I first made a survival world which I was surprised by the improvements compared to the PE version. I then had to get used to the advances of the PC/Mac version and went to the nether and the end. I then explored the wonders of servers! I first started out playing minigame servers with my friends. I then discovered Skyblock, HG and Creative servers which I enjoyed a lot. In September 2013, I became staff on a small server called “The Maze” which is where I learned the basic commands like /kick and /mute. In May 2014, I joined the McBrawl forums which is where I made many friends and had a great time. In early August, I became a Moderator which made me very excited. I had a fun time knowing what was “behind the scenes” of a major server. I also loved to help the players of Party. I resigned for personal reasons. A couple weeks later I felt like I lost a part of me when I resigned. I then applied immaturely to fast and was denied. Embarrassed with myself I took a break from Brawl. In late October I came back and started to become very active. I played Party and War primarily and began to really enjoy McBrawl again and now here I am wanting to come back to join the team again.

What is your experience with moderating servers? - I have moderated a few servers:

The Maze: I became a Moderator on The Maze in September of 2013. It was a great experience for me to become staff on McBrawl because I learned the necessities to become a great staff member. (PROOF HERE)

FireFlowerMC: This was a server I developed for my friend and I gave myself the rank “Admin”. My friend loved the server and began to create staff ranks and protocols. I was in-charge of the forums. We decided to close the server after little people went online. (PROOF HERE)

MetroGTA: This is a new server I am making with a couple members from this community. It is a GTA based server with GunsPvP and I am very happy to release it soon. This server has taught me to be very smart with developing servers and knowing what it is like to run my own server. (PROOF HERE)

McBrawl: I became moderator on August 8th. I really enjoyed being part of a “large server” staff team and I felt really happy when I went onto Party awaited by friendly players who were kind to me. There was some bumps in the road but I had a great time overall. (PROOF HERE)

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? - If I become moderator again, I would try to stop flaming, vulgar language and any hatred in the chat when I am online. I will also frequently report major rulebreakers to the Upper Staff team. I will also provide another friendly moderator who will help the community.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - I am a rule-abider which means I have never hacked on any Minecraft server.

Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? - I have been temp-banned for 3 days for arguing with an Owner but I have never been “perm-banned.”

How active do you consider yourself in-game? - I consider myself very active by playing on McBrawl for about 3 hours per day. On the weekends I have more time to play Minecraft because I have little to do and love to go on my computer and play McBrawl. I always help out the players when I come on the servers and I use my extensive knowledge about the servers to teach

How active do you consider yourself on TS3? - I consider myself active on Teamspeak. When I am in-game, you will usually find me on TS chatting with other players and helping new players. I usually stay in the public channels but sometimes I like to go into the private channels. I am very social when it comes to teamspeak and I always have it open when my laptop is on.

How active do you consider yourself on the forums? - I consider myself very active on the forums with over 700 posts and counting. I have made a guide for MinecraftParty on the forums and frequently post in the section and throughout the forums. I always check my alerts and I am very anxious when I do. I am a complete addict and always have it up when my laptop is on.

What do you consider your greatest strength? - Maturity, I am very mature when it comes to the server. I am always very wise when it comes to dealing with flamers, hackers and DDos threats. I do have a personality though so I am very friendly to the players. This is my greatest strength because it is essential to be mature to be a good moderator.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? - Attention to details, I really do not remember the best details about a player. You may ask me, how is this a weakness? So, say there is a spammer on Party, I tell a moderator to come on to warn/mute him. When the mod asks me “Who is spamming?” I would recollect some details about his name but I would remember his IGN.

How would you handle someone making a minor transgression for the first time? - I would first warn the player kindly about breaking the rules put in place in /msg.

How would you handle the same person doing it again a second time? -
I would give him another warning more severely in /msg or if he disrespected me or other players, I would give him a 5 minute mute.

How would you handle that person doing it again for the third time? - I would then kick the player for 10 minutes to 30 minutes depending on the situation.

What is your reaction if someone publicly proves you wrong on the forums? - I would accept my mistake and apologize to the player and the community about my error. I would say “Thank you for correcting me.” to the person in a PM or on his profile page.

What would you do when someone breaks a rule on the forums? - If it is minor transgression on the Party section, I would give the person a warning and the proceed to lock the thread. If it very major, I would get an upper staff member to deal with the situation.

When would you lock a thread? - I would lock a thread if:

    - It is Grave Dug/Necroposted

    - The thread has been turned into a flame war

    - The thread has gone off-topic

    - The question was answered

    - The thread is a duplicate thread.

    - The creator has requested a lock

    Describe yourself in 3 words
    : Friendly, Mature and Calm

Anything else we should know about you? - No, not really.

Situation: A player is out of the map on MC-WAR. What are the steps that you would take to ensure that this player and situation is properly dealt with? - First, I would quickly take a screenshot of the player out of map. Second, I would warn the player to type /war leave and /war join in the chat. If the player does that and explains how he got there, I would post a thread about it in the Bugs/Glitches section in the McWar forums. If the player refuses to do so, he would be kicked for 10 minutes.

Do you generally know how all the plugins and commands work? - As a staff member on many servers and a developer, I know how all the plugins and commands work.

Do you realize that if you are disrespectful or abuse your power, your power will be taken away? - Yes, I do realize that if I abuse my powers against the community, I will be stripped of my powers and will be possibly banned.

Does anyone have access to your Minecraft account? - No, I changed my password recently so that my brother cannot access my account.

EDIT 1/28 : Added the new question

Please insert a Yes / No poll below.

As 18kss said we are in need of McParty mods.
You seem to have a good amount of experience moderating servers and you were an ex-mod.
Detailed application and you are active in all fields!

Yes, we need Party mods. Your application is detailed and you are active on Teamspeak and on the forums. I rarely play Party so I can't judge your in game activity.

Last time you were accepted you resigned before you made it out of trial. Would this be an issue again?

I resigned because I thought I would have no time for McBrawl with school/family issues/other server. I realized I had more time than I thought and knew how understaffed Party was so I decided to apply again. Unless something major comes up, I will not resign for a long time.
