Well obviously from this thread title I am stating how staff can be better all around McBrawl. Here is my list of things that you guys can do better to make you look more lovable. (I feel this because I have been friends with many staff members and previous staff)
NOTE: This is not an insult to any staff member at all. I think you guys are doing great but these are some minor tweaks that I feel staff members should do.

    1) Respond to us more often: Sometimes you guys may be busy or have to take care of other stuff, but I highly feel that some staff members have to keep up with the questions that are being asked. Straight-forward enough.

    2) Stop being so serious: This is pretty explanatory. I like staff members who have fun in the game who act immature at times and can be funny. (@way2 , @Phanta, @randomcitizen1 , @Cuddlemonster09 , etc)
The community likes moderators who are fun so they have a better experience.

Comment down below. I will add some important ones if needed.
THIS IS NOT TO INSULT ANY STAFF MEMBERS AT ALL.

I definitely agree with what you are saying. Staff sometimes need to have fun, and enjoy the games as much as we do.

I can see why you say this, and I understand that, but there's no way we can force moderators to change their personalities. Sure a staff member who is more engaging with the community is a good perk, but that is part of their personality. I've seen most staff members on their light-hearted side, but we cannot force it out of them. Some of them choose to be more calm.

That's something that I enjoy doing as a staff member, chilling with players and having fun but still doing my job.

I expend all my immaturity on a different server, where I can do almost anything I want without worrying about my image to the community.

Imagine a volunteer fire department with no budget volunteering to put out fires without equipment...the fire fighters do the best they can with the resources they have.

I think the Mods are doing the best they can with the resources and team they have.

Now if the conversation were metrics based like there are too few people qualified to be Mods and thus a shortage of them. Then, that is something that could be addressed.

Focus on the root cause of your issue.

Most staff tend to ignore most questions via chat and Teamspeak, the great and mighty Putty told me that its better to start a conversation over the forums because theyre most likely to read it there.

Some mods may be naturally more serious. Got a problem with that?

We do not ignore those questions on purpose, we might just be AFK, extremly busy, etc.
Sending a PM on the forums is the best way because the staff member will get a alert for it and can read it whenever he/she got time.

As stated above, some staff members are more serious, while others like to screw around. Its great if a staff member is able to screw around with players BUT at the same time, can also enforce rules and warn, punish and mute if necessary.
Personally I consider it quite hard to punish or warn someone I was just joking around with, so I mostly talk to players I can trust to be mature.
If a staff member is able to figure out a good balance between joking and moderating, great, but we can not force staff members to change their personality.

If we could brainwash staff members to change their personalities.....(Evil snicker). Wise advice, it is difficult to change how people are. If interacting were the root cause of all these issues then I would use this tool with the staff.
Ask them why they can't interact (at least 5x) with players. It will help to get down to the root issue.

Perhaps they have too many things on their plate, need more training, or were just totally unaware of how large an impact this was.

    Evil

I'm not just stating to be fun in chat and that. I'm also talking about when a player asks a question and a staff member would reply, "No sorry". I'm sure they would prefer "Nah bruh".

I don't think immature is the right word. Many people, like me, see the word immature as a flamer or a disrespectful person. Yes, I can make jokes with you guys and have fun. Immature has more of a negative connotation behind it. But thank you! I understood what you were trying to say xD. All moderators have different personalities and ways of approach when it comes to moderating, I feel that they are all great moderators. As lord stated, when you message mods on team speak, some might be afk or trying to deal with another task at hand.

In immature I meant to say not serious all the time. Sorry for the mishap. I can definitely see what you are saying though.

Moderating and having fun is what I love to do. :stuck_out_tongue: I’m sure thats also what most of our other mods do to though. We all just some times handle situations differently. :grinning:
