Harassment in the Community

    Hello everyone.
    I have been dealing with a lot of harassment and abuse on Brawl lately... It is starting to depress me. The /block command does not stop vulgar name calling, abusive comments, and constant harassment. What can I do? I come to Brawl for recreation, to get away from college and the stress in my life... not to be ridiculed and insulted.

    Do I screenshot these players and report them?
    Do I ask a mod to help me out when I see them on?
    Do you have a solution?

    If none of the above, should I give up and go to another server that helps keep the environment fun and friendly?

    Any help would be appreciated. I don't think I am the only player on Brawl dealing with this, so any help you give me could go a long ways towards helping everyone.

    Well, vulgar words are most of the time blocked by the administrators, but if you find one that is not, please PM a staff member. The /ignore command does completely ignore players chats and private messages, so that should help. You can get a staff member online to mute the player if he keeps bypassing chat filter and saying vulgar words

    Its not just brawl its the internet. I swear compared to the community in Mann vs Machine in team fortress 2 to Brawl The Brawl is like Ned Flanders from the simpsons.
    (Also kind of why I left the games of brawl and forum stalk now I just wanted to get away from the rage and chat spam and abuse apperently I cant)

    It's depressing how one Minecraft server has a worse community than the entire TF2 franchise.

    Harassment isnt really your situation, that would imply that someone is going out their way to personally attack you, ive had experiences with staff that went like this. But this is just petty bullying through and through, the best course of action is of course to block them, it is against the rule to be overly disrespectful or "flame" at a player, so yes do screenshot the messages you get, but make sure you file a report you've accumulated at least 4 or 5 pieces of evidence to support that you are being harassed not just being made fun of, make sure to mention that you've blocked the user.

    TF2 is not a franchise, it's a single title, though you may have referred to the "Team Fortress" franchise with the first and second title.
    I can guarantee you that TF2's community is a butt load worse than this. If you ever played Mann Up Mode, you would understand what I'm talking about. TF2's players are seeking profit rather than fun.

    Aaand this sums up my opinion.

    This kinda stuff is very common, sorry :c It's just a matter of whether or not you let it get to you. Don't let it. Turn off chat if you must. If it does get harsh enough, you are able to report them. Otherwise, sit back and let it slide over you. Computer pixels and the thoughts of a stranger should not be something that affects your life negatively, dear.

    The only way this is justified is if you deserve it. And you will know if you deserve it or not. So don't do anything that bad.

    I agree that there is so much harassment and abuse on the server, I really wish people would stop acting like four year old's and just ask adult.
