[Mod] Staff Interview #17 Poaches - PoachBOT

Hey there Brawlers! Blamo here with another staff Interview! Today we have @poaches as our guest of honor!

1) How and when did you find Brawl?
I found out about Brawl in early 2013/late 2012 and I believe I found it on a server website while looking for an original server. I then fell in love with Brawl and have been playing off and on now for almost 3 years.

2) Where does your name come from?
A friend of mine came up with the name "poaches" or "poach" back in 2010 while we had been playing different call of duty titles. It was an inside joke between the two of us and I wanted a name to stick. I decided with Poach because I had never seen anything like it and I liked its originality. Nothing to do with poaching animals or poached eggs!

3) What are some things you would change on Brawl?
There is not much I would like to change on Brawl. Besides some bug fixes and the popularity of Brawl; I believe with new updates coming and new adventures for the Brawlers to take on, I believe that it will be tons of fun!

4) What would you add/do to WarZ to make the game play even more enjoyable?
I could go on for hours about what needs to be changed, but I don't think you guys would like to read that. So I will sum it up. First I believe that the standards for WARZ have lowered, it has become a dirty game with too much trash talk and boring gameplay. WARZ is mostly team vs. team completely stacked, I personally believe that WARZ with its original combos and damages and less diamond would make up for a much better server. With the current bugs as the "grappling hook" and the spas doing way to much damage it's hard to play. Decreased spawn rate of diamond and no voting could be a great addition.

Besides minor bug fixes and changes, I think an ELO skill-based WarZ would also be very fun as it would add a competitive side to the more experienced players. I also think it will bring more players in and back.

5) How did you come up with the name "PoachBOT"?
My montages and one of my alternate accounts are named "PoachBOT" for a reason most people don't know. The account was bought for me after my first montage and I stuck with it as it has become a nickname of mine. It started with a clip of me in full leather clutching 3 full diamonds back in late September. On one of the kills I jerked my head to the right as I was about to be shot and hit a clean barret spas on a 3/4s as if I had aimbot on. It was a very nice clip and I've been known to have decent aim. Therefore "PoachBOT".

6) What do you currently find hard about being a moderator?
As of now I find it hard being a moderator dealing with players that are very ignorant and seem above the rules. I'm working on fixing this with the warn system that is now working again.

7) What was the most stressful part about becoming/being a moderator?
Most stressful part of becoming a moderator is definitely the interview process, no one is allowed to know what happens in that teamspeak room, it's not so bad but it was very stressful leading up to it and during it. Being a moderator now, the most stressful thing is controlling a teamspeak public room when you have many trolls and or annoyances.

8) What made you want to become a moderator?
I wanted to become a moderator on Mc-WarZ for a couple of years, when I first applied I wanted to become a moderator in order to get hackers banned. At the time I thought that the current moderators were not doing a very good job of getting hackers banned. But now that I look back on it, I was rather ignorant. When I wanted to become a moderator with my last application it was due to the WarZ staff being shortlisted and some needed new blood within the staff. I also obviously just wanted to help the community in whatever way I could.

9) Who were your first friends you met when you joined Brawl?
First friends I had on Brawl were @CamJam29, @Chitchumply, @FlashCoder, @kiddswagg_760

10) What are some things you enjoy most on Brawl?
I enjoy playing WARZ with friends and my team and I don't mind hopping on Party and WAR. Another thing I enjoy is conversing with the community on the forums. I also cannot wait to enjoy the many new updates and servers coming to Brawl!
